Got a call from 020 3685 3270 where some recorded voice tried to scare me saying they’re going to take legal steps over unpaid tax money which I’m not even behind on. Looks like a total scam to me.

Beware, this number is a scam! Just like many others have said before, I got a very unpleasant woman on the line who kept threatening me with legal action. Honestly, she was the most aggressive person I’ve ever talked to. Definitely don’t answer if this number rings you. They’re just after your cash.

Got two calls today, both left voice messages saying they were from HMRC, some bloke called Denis Wray. Like the others, they told me to get in touch with a solicitor, not to ignore it, and that there’s some criminal case against me. The recording was really poor quality, bad line. This was from Lymm, Cheshire.

Just like the others said, it was someone from HMRC telling me to ring back right away. The connection was awful and the woman sounded American. Got two calls from that same number today, had enough now, so I’ve blocked it.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with HM Revenue and Customs. When I rang them back, the chap I spoke to was rather unclear and didn’t provide much information.

Got a call earlier from 0207 898 3270 which showed up as 'possible fraud' so I didn’t pick up since it wasn’t saved in my phone. They rang back and left a voicemail, some woman saying it was from HMRC but the audio was super poor quality. From what I know, HMRC doesn’t do random cold calls, so I just blocked the number straight away.

It’s exactly what happened to me too, like the first comment said! I got a call, seemed legit at first but then I realised it was fishy. Same kind of deal, really annoying. Just wanted to share I’m not the only one who got caught out like this.

Got a really annoying voicemail that was just a recorded message. Defnitely not calling back. Number’s been blocked straight away.
