This number left me a pretty scary voicemail, saying I'd face some kind of trouble if I didn’t ring them back. The voice sounded robotic and had an American accent. They mentioned some officer guy, Dennis or something. Really freaked me out!

Earlier today, I received a call from a number I didn’t recognise. It was an automated message telling me I could get a tax refund because apparently, I’ve overpaid my taxes in the past. The message asked me to press a key to speak with someone who would assist with claiming it. Just a heads up, this is definitely not from HMRC - it’s a total scam!
