Got a call from a woman with a posh English accent claiming to be HMRC, warning me about criminal activities and the need to call back. The number 0207 898 3255 was played three times during the message. Honestly, the best thing to do is just let the call run till you rack up the charges, then hang up before it ends. I rang back and asked for the full name of the person who had answered, but there was silence. Then I said, "Can you tell me your full name so I’m sure you’re actually from HMRC?" and they just hung up on me. The voice sounded Asian. I’ve had three more voicemails after that. When I try to call back, it just goes straight to voicemail. Definitely a scam.

I missed a call and it went straight to voicemail. The message said if I didn’t return the call, I’d have a warrant issued for my arrest. I’m not planning to call back, but I will definitely be ringing HMRC tomorrow since the caller claimed to be from there :/
