I got a call from 020 7898 3633, some robotic voice pretending to be from HMRC. It warned me not to ignore it or there'd be serious consequences. They told me to get a lawyer and ring them back on that number to speak with the ‘security’ team. Definitely sounded dodgy to me.

On 22/11/2020 around 11:30am, got a call from 020 7898 3223 claiming to be from Bromley Council. Left a voicemail saying they were from the tax office and warned me about court and police involvement. I rang back and they repeated the whole story, adding that there were three complaints against me. They threatened legal action over supposed tax evasion and said someone would visit me tomorrow to sort a payment plan. I ended up giving them my address and even checked my online bank while I was still on the call. I've since blocked the number.
