Got a call from a number abroad today. Some lady was telling me my Amazon prime account had been charged £79.99. Honestly, these scammers are preying on people who might not be so careful. I didn't hang about and blocked the number straight away. I'd recommend you do that too, just to be safe.

BEWARE! Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming I was owed a refund from Amazon Prime (which I’ve never even signed up for). I played along for a bit out of curiosity. Then she asked for my bank info to process the “refund.” I pointed out that if money had been taken, they should already have my details. Before I could say anything else, she just hung up on me. Such a scam!

Received a rather dodgy message about a £79.99 deduction from my bank account. Out of curiosity, I pressed 1 when a woman on the line inquired if I was interested in a refund. She then went on rambling about whether it was for my computer or mobile. I decided to let her know I was recording the call and that the police were eavesdropping too. Let's just say, she didn't take that too well and promptly hung up. It’s quite amusing how they react when the tables are turned!

I got a call from a lady claiming my Amazon Prime had been charged £79.99. I hit 1 on purpose to see what they'd say next. Then she started asking for my internet details to send a refund, but I told her everything would already be on record. Could tell the police were eavesdropping cause she sounded annoyed and cut the call. These lot are ripping off loads of vulnerable folks.

Beware, this is a SCAM! If you get any dodgy calls or messages, make sure you report them straight to the police fraud website. Just search for ‘action fraud’ and head over to the police.uk page. Find the section for reporting phishing and read all the info there first. Then fill out the form with as many details as you can, like URLs or phone numbers. You don’t need to sign up or give personal info unless you’ve actually lost money through the scam. The more people report these attempts, the better chance the police have to track and stop these crooks. Don’t ignore it!
