Received two calls that rang briefly before cutting off both times. Likely this is some sort of scam.

Got a call from this number today. It was one of those recorded messages about supposed payments on a credit card, which is total rubbish. They didn’t mention any names or any of my info. Definitely a SCAM.

Got a robotic call from this number claiming to be my bank, telling me there were two big purchases on my account and to hit 2 to keep going. I just hung up straight away.

Got a call from an Indian woman claiming I had a massive discount on my Virgin bill and could upgrade to an iPhone 12 or 13. She asked what I currently pay, which is £7 a month, then tried to shove an extra £5 on top, making it about £60 for the new phone - totally ridiculous. Then she put me through to some so-called manager asking for more info. Rang Virgin myself and found out the deal is actually £43 a month for two years. They kept ringing back too, which felt like pure harassment. Told them flat out I knew it was a scam and they should find a proper job.

I received a call from 02045204041, and the person on the line insisted they were from Carphone Warehouse. They were touting a rather tempting deal-30% off and an upgrade to an iPhone 13 for just £40 a month. However, when I took a look on their official site, there was absolutely no mention of such an offer! The caller even requested my credit card details to supposedly process this promotion, which set off alarm bells in my mind. It all seemed rather dodgy, to say the least!

Got a call from someone pretending to be Virgin Media, telling me I was eligible for a 30% discount on my bill. Then they asked how much I currently pay - which made no sense, how could they be sure I qualified if they didn’t know that? Plus, they didn’t bother to verify who I was. Since I’m not the account owner, I told them that if they keep ringing me, it’ll be considered harassment.

Someone phoned me saying they were from Carphone Warehouse, offering a Samsung Z Fold3 with a supposedly 40% off deal on a two-year contract. They claimed the phone retails for over £1500, but their offer was just £40 a month for two years. When I told them I'd rather pop into the shop and chat in person, they just hung up on me. Felt a bit dodgy if you ask me.
