This could really freak people out if they don’t know it’s a scam. There’s this automated message telling you not to ignore the call and that you need to call back, or you’ll face legal trouble. Definitely sounds dodgy and worrying for anyone who falls for it.

02038969749 I've been getting loads of dodgy calls recently, not only from this number. I rang BT about it and they told me if I think a call is a scam, just hang up straight away and then ring 1572, pick option 1. Apparently, that'll ban the number for good, stopping it from ringing any phones, not just yours. Thought others might find this useful.

I just received a voicemail from someone called Officer Laura Hawkins, sounded like a robotic message. They said if I or my lawyer didn’t ring back, there would be serious consequences. Definitely looks like one of those scam calls to me.

Got a voicemail on 21 Feb 2020 from 02038969749, but half of it was cut off. The message was pretty intimidating, spoken in an American accent by some sort of robotic voice, warning that if we didn’t ring back, there’d be legal trouble. Definitely came across as a scam.

I received a rather dodgy phone call lately, and I must say, it’s part of a worrying trend I’ve noticed recently regarding scams. The caller claimed to be from HMRC, insisting that I had an outstanding debt to them! It's quite alarming how brazen these scammers have become.

Got a voicemail from someone called Hazel claiming to be from the tax office, said it was urgent and that I shouldn't ignore it or there’d be serious problems for me. It sounded really dodgy so I didn’t bother ringing back. Cheers for the heads up, it’s a relief to know it’s just a scam and helps stop others getting caught out.

I just got the call too!!! Saw a comment from yesterday where someone suggested what to do when these calls come through. Gave it a go myself. Just curious how many others actually bothered to try it. Honestly, this seems like the only way to fight back against these scams. I’ve heard the cops can only step in if they have some leads, and those sketchy call centres in Asia pushing these scams are rarely caught unless we all report them.

Got a call supposedly from an officer named Hawkins at the Inland Revenue. They left the usual message that others have mentioned, and they're still ringing. Since HMRC have just wrapped up their year-end filings, I can see some folks might get caught out by this pathetic scam. Honestly, these scammers must have no shame at all. Best thing to do is block the number and report it straight away.

Today, I received a rather peculiar phone call from a woman claiming to be American. She introduced herself as Laura Hawkins and insisted she was representing HMRC. She mentioned that the issue at hand was quite delicate and hinted that I might be facing some sort of trouble. Although she came across as pleasant enough, it was painfully clear to me that this was a scam for several reasons; primarily, the fact that she was distinctly American raised alarm bells. It’s interesting how they seem to strike just after tax season!

I recently received a rather alarming automated message from someone claiming to be from the Inland Revenue. It had this very American accent, which made it all the more odd. The message urged me to contact either them or my solicitor urgently, stating something about a time-sensitive matter. The caller introduced themselves as Officer Laura Hawkins and provided a rather long-winded phone number: 02038969749. They stressed that I should call back immediately, repeating the digits for emphasis. Almost feels like a scene from a thriller, doesn't it? I was left bemused and suspecting it might be a scam.
