Got a call from someone saying they were from a so-called ‘prestigious’ firm named I.T. Certified, pushing some online cybersecurity course. They claimed it’s the only route to land a job in cybersecurity and wanted £1000 for it. They were actually advertising on a job site like it was an actual job vacancy. Funny thing is, when you try to search for this company online, there’s absolutely no info on them. Hardly sounds very ‘prestigious’ to me!

I got a call from a lady claiming she was with a firm named Homesure, offering to cut my kitchen appliances' payments down to just a fiver each month. When I asked for specifics about which appliances she meant, she couldn't give me any info. I told her straight up I wasn’t interested and that we don’t even have insurance on our appliances, so how could she be offering to lower the bills? She just hung up on me. At least I kept her talking long enough to maybe stop someone else from getting caught out. I've blocked the number now.

Said they were an insurance firm, but I told them I’m on the Do Not Call list, hung up straight away and added the number to my block list.

I tried to get a word in, but she just kept talking and wouldn’t stop. In the end, I had to just hang up. I’m planning to block the number now since I’m retired and I have no clue how they even got hold of my contact.

Caller claimed to be with Homesure regarding some sort of appliance insurance I supposedly had. As soon as I told them I don’t have any insurance for appliances, they just cut me off immediately, no further chat at all.

I tried calling them back, but it just sounded like one of those call centre setups. Definitely feels like a rip-off to me. Wouldn't bother answering again.

These lot were hassling my folks with insurance offers, though they didn't seem bothered about checking the TPS register. My parents both suffer from dementia and they kept on ringing. Luckily, I was around and grabbed the phone. The woman kept going on and on, not letting me get a word in, and I did bring up the TPS, but it was pointless. Honestly, they're just one more irritating company that won't take a hint.
