I’ve used their claim service twice in the past year and they sorted everything out pretty quickly. some of the reviews here are from folks who seem to label every single company that rings them as a scam. bit unfair really.

I just got a call from these lot telling me my Hotpoint washing machine’s warranty had ended and that I should get insurance for repairs. The machine’s actually 15 years old this year, so it could well give up soon. Honestly, I don’t think any amount of fixing will save it when that happens. The bloke was pretty pushy when I told him I wasn’t interested, and I also said it’d be cheaper to replace the machine rather than pay over the odds to these dodgy firms who probably wouldn’t honour the policy once they realise how old it is.

I said no thanks as I’m content with my current setup. He didn’t push or bother me further, just gave me a customer service number in case I changed my mind. Honestly, this is how sales calls ought to be handled, just a clear yes or no with no nagging. Gotta give credit where it’s due.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with "Protect Your Box", purporting to offer an extended warranty for my washing machine, supposedly on behalf of Whirlpool. They asserted that Whirlpool had enlisted their services and had passed on my information. The thing is, I've never even owned a Whirlpool appliance or anything related. I quickly realised this was a tall tale, so I told him to take a hike in rather colourful language, and the line went dead on his side. I get the distinct impression he would have asked for my bank details instead of just credit card info when it came to "purchasing" this warranty. The whole affair stinks of a scam to me.
