They keep calling nonstop, asking for someone I've never heard of. When I say I don’t know them, they try to talk to me instead. I keep telling them I’m not interested and to take me off their list but it makes no difference!

I receive daily calls from this number, often multiple times a day, demanding to speak with a Mr. Skiggs, Michael Skiggs, or Mrs. Christine Skiggs (I’m unsure about the spelling). We've repeatedly informed them that these individuals neither reside here now nor ever have, and we've refrained from sharing any personal details. However, they persist in calling! Our phone provider has refused to change our number, claiming it wouldn't resolve the situation and might even exacerbate it. Today, after yet another call, we warned them of our intention to report their harassment to the police if it didn't stop. They simply replied with a 'thank you' and hang up! What options do we have left?

Keep getting calls and it’s really annoying.

This number has been calling our landline nearly daily for the past three weeks. When I answer, there’s usually a brief silence before an automated voice says hello. It’s strange because they even know my husband’s full name! We’re ex-directory, so how do they get this info? Yesterday, a lady with a Chinese accent rang and said she needed to ask my husband some questions, but he just ended the call.

He was askin' for my mum who just passed away? Couldn't make out the foreign bloke properly but told him in a nice way to bugger off or I’d track him down and shove somethin’ nasty right where it hurts, bloody pest!

Watch out, this number is making you pay for the call! They do everything to keep you talking for ages and it looks like they've turned off the callback message, so when you pick up, it costs you! Also, if you’ve got a webcam or one built into your computer, I’d definitely cover it up with some tape or something just to be safe.

Got a call from someone doing a lifestyle survey. They asked how I said my first name or just the first letter of it? Straight away I figured he had no clue who I was. I said I wasn’t interested and then he suddenly got annoyed and snapped, asking why I even agreed in the first place! Told him to remove my number. No idea where they even got my landline from!

At first there was just silence, then the caller said his name was 'Mark' - which seemed a bit unlikely, especially with that Indian accent. He wanted to speak to the previous owner, who has actually been dead for a long time. He claimed to be from something like 'UK Opinion - South East Asia'? I had to get him to repeat it a few times to catch that part. When I asked where he was calling from, he said the UK office. But when I pressed him for the exact location of this UK office, he refused to say. So I told him I wasn’t going to continue the call and just ended it there.

They've rung me three bloody times in less than 2 days. Every time I've asked nicely to be taken off their call list. Today I finally lost me rag and told them they're actually against the law calling me, especially since the number looks like it's from the UK and I'm on the telephone preference service. Doesn't seem to bother them one bit tho.
