They say they’re from some accident claims outfit. They’re often foreign and get pretty rude if you push back. Their line is always “we’re ringing about a minor contact collision” and I said I haven’t been in any road traffic accident. Then the woman interrupted saying she wasn’t calling about RTCs. I pointed out that a minor contact collision is exactly an RTC, and as a traffic officer I’d be clued up. They hung up saying I don’t know what I’m talking about and that they’d ring back tomorrow. A bloke claiming to be Jason Daniels from Auto Assist rang me up, asked for me by name, then launched into some story about me being involved in a no-fault accident. I ended the call and blocked the number, but they just ring again from another one. I really don’t get how these muppets are still allowed to carry on like this.

Got a call from this number, a woman asked me to confirm my name so I replied 'yes, can I ask who’s calling?' She shot back with some serious attitude like 'I was just trying to confirm your name!' My answer was 'well maybe you should focus on not ringing me up and being rude!' Definitely blocking these annoying folks!

Got a call from this number and no one actually spoke. I just said "hello?" to see what would happen. I think they were waiting for me to say my name so they could repeat it back and make it sound like they’re from some real company. I could hear sounds in the background like a busy café or something. Watch out! They try to use your own name to make it seem friendly and trick you!

It’s quite straightforward to put a stop to these numbers in much the same manner as you would with a computer. Every phone number is associated with a MAC address, quite akin to how a computer operates, and this can be modified. The power to halt them lies chiefly with the telecom providers and a select group of tech-savvy individuals.

Got hit up by annoying calls a couple of times today.

Been getting about 2 or 3 calls every day for over a month now. Got in touch with Ofcom but they’re no help at all. Even chatted with my MP about introducing a Private Members Bill to stop cold calling here, but apparently it’s "good" for the economy these days. Called my phone provider and they just wanted me to cough up cash to block the calls. Honestly, all of them are just a bunch of useless, hopeless muppets.

They call me all the time, always asking for someone by name. I tell them they got the wrong person but to wait a moment while I try to find them. Then I just put the phone on mute and leave it until they give up and disconnect. It's a little way I waste their time!

They've called me a bunch of times, and each time I've told them I wasn't in any accident and asked them to remove me from their list. Well, today they rang again, and when I told them I'd already talked to them loads, the person on the other end was really rude. They started asking who I thought I was talking to, then said I should go back to my country or at least speak proper English. Honestly, it was a really offensive call. I've blocked the number now.

I've been receiving calls from this number repeatedly, and I've made it abundantly clear that I haven't been involved in any accidents and requested them to remove my details from their records. Today, yet again, the phone rang, and when I mentioned I've already had numerous conversations with them, the person on the other end was incredibly rude. They even questioned who I thought I was addressing and rudely suggested I should return to my country or learn to speak English properly. It was quite an offensive encounter. I’ve now decided to block the number entirely.

I get these calls a few times a week too. It's a work phone and they keep asking for someone who left ages ago, like over 5 years. Today, I just pretended to be that person. The caller said it was about a claim and asked if I'd heard from the other party. I just ended the call after that. Got a call saying I’d been involved in some kind of accident sometime over the past couple of years. When I tried to find out exactly when, the guy just kept saying “in the last two years” without giving a proper answer. When I pressed him for a date, he lost it and yelled, “Can you not hear me properly?” Then he just hung up. I blocked the number straight away.

Received a call earlier where the bloke began with "hello love... how’s your day going, love?" I was a bit taken aback and asked who he was. He said “Chris Carter, love” but still hadn’t said which firm he was ringing from. Just this weird, unsettling voice calling me love. When I pressed him for the company name, he finally said Auto Assist. I just hung up after that. Honestly, he gave me the creeps. If he’s chatting like that to all women, with that deep, dodgy tone, it’s seriously not right and probably should be reported.

Got a call today from someone called Donovan, said he was from Auto Assist. He claimed I’d been in an accident in the last couple years that wasn’t my fault. I told him I hadn’t made any claims for like six years and then he started getting really rude and aggressive. He kept on abusing me until I just ended the call. This kind of behaviour should seriously be reported and these people fined!

This number keeps buzzing me non-stop, like several calls a day for the past few days. I finally picked up and got a really obnoxious young Asian woman who got proper nasty when I calmly told her she’d dialled the wrong number. After that, she started getting defensive, laughing at me over the phone and being downright abusive when I asked her to stop being rude. Honestly, don’t bother answering this number unless you want a heap of verbal abuse.
