Got a call from an Asian woman who used my name and an old address she had on file. She asked me to confirm the address, said it was linked to some credit card I had ages ago. Then she claimed I’d been paying PPI on interest charges - which I’ve never signed up for on any card or loan! When I asked her which card it was about, she said she couldn’t say because it was private info. That’s when I told her, “You’ve got my name, number and old address already, that’s private too!” Told her it was nonsense and she just hung up on me. Ridiculous.

Just like others have said, some Asian bloke was pushing me to verify my address, which I never did. He told me I'd be getting a letter in the post, but I’m not buying it! When I asked what the letter would say, he got all vague. Obviously because there’s no letter coming. Don’t know why I even spent 20 seconds on him, normally I just hang up or don’t pick up at all, but maybe I wanted to annoy him a bit for wasting my time. Was never gonna give him any info. Predictably, he got annoyed and ended the call.

Got a call from Access Solutions about PPI. I mentioned I no longer live at that address and never took out a loan or credit card (which isn’t actually true!). The person on the phone was quite polite and just said goodbye.

Got two calls on the 20th September from this number but both times, when I answered, there was no one there. Then today (21st September), a lady called saying she was from Active Solutions about a PPI refund for some finance I supposedly had between 2000 and 2009. She even knew my address, which was odd. I told her straight that in 2000 I was just 8 years old, nearly 9, so there's no chance I had any finance then. I politely asked her to take my details off their lists and ended the call.

Got a call from a guy who sounded Asian, saying I was due some cashback from a PPI claim. He wanted me to verify my postcode but I didn't say anything. Then when I asked where the refund was coming from, he just cut the call!

Got a call from an Asian bloke claiming his name was Michael, said something about PPI. Pretty sure it's that same Asian "Michael" who previously tried to con me pretending to be from Microsoft, saying my computer had an issue and he could sort it out by phone. Last time he rang with that scam, I called him out on it and he just called me a b##ch and told me to f##k off before hanging up on me.

If there’s something crucial they need to convey, I reckon they’d drop a voicemail. Got a really annoying call from a pushy Asian woman about PPI - she just cut me off when I told her I’d report her. I’ve blocked the number and put my home and mobile on the TPS. If this is a legit business, they should be embarrassed for treating people like that. There seriously needs to be better protection for older people against these kinds of calls.

I just got a ring from someone saying I was entitled to a refund and that I'd be getting a letter soon. He asked for my name, address, and other details. Then he mentioned something about a credit card and a government refund. I told him I didn't know his company and that he was asking too many questions. I said I'd wait for the letter before giving out any info. He just said GOODBYE and slammed the phone down! Suspicious stuff, that.
