I've explained to them several times that there's no business running at this number and even mentioned that I might be terminally ill (which is true), yet they still keep pestering me nonstop.

These solicitors seem honest, professional, and sincere, working to help people in the U.K get back money they might’ve lost through dodgy Payment Protection Insurance deals. Each caller has to ring about 100 numbers a week and genuinely want to help you out. They get in trouble if they don’t hit their goals. I’d say it’s worth taking a few minutes to chat with them. What’s the worst outcome? Just a heads up though, if you actually think this is a scam, maybe you’re being a bit daft and deserve whatever time they take from you.

Loads of folks say they just leave calls unanswered but the phone still keeps annoying them. I used to be with a market research firm - not one of those dodgy ones asking for cash or PPI, just doing surveys. If no one picked up, we'd ring back up to 5 times, but if someone answered and was clear they weren’t interested, we wouldn’t bother them again. I guess it depends on the company, some just dial numbers randomly and hope for a pick-up. Honestly, sometimes just telling them to buzz off works better than ignoring completely!

I got a call from this number earlier, but ignored it and just let it ring out. I’m using a Nokia 535, and when I tried to block the number, all I got were options to delete details or add it to speed dial. So, can anyone tell me how to actually block this number?

Phoned me in the early afternoon, some asian lady speaking through a terrible line with a lot of background noise like a busy call centre. When I gave her my name and postcode, she quickly went on about a credit card refund and mentioned a year that was off. I told her she was mistaken and there’s no such refund. After that, she went quiet for nearly 12 seconds and then hung up. Definitely don’t pick up - looks like a scam to me.

Since Christmas, this number has been ringing me incessantly - I reckon it must be around 45 times by now! It's utterly infuriating, to say the least. If only there was a way to track them down; I'd bill them a fiver for every single call. That ought to put an end to their nuisance! Just got a call from First Solutions PPI claim back - they’re total scammers and proper annoying. I told them at least 10 times yesterday to leave me alone and guess what, they called again today! Absolutely ridiculous. I’m defo reporting them to Ofcom and blocking their number right away!

This bloke rang me up sayin' he needed to tell me I’d be gettin’ a PPR refund sent to my place and asked if I was still livin’ at the address (which he mentioned during the call). As soon as I said yes, he just hung up on me.

This bloke called, said his name was Shaun or summat, just going on and on. I figured I might as well make him pay for the call, so kept him chatting. Then he had the cheek to call me thick for letting him keep talking (I couldn’t get a word in, honestly) when I told him my card info wasn't his business. Proper rude, but not surprised. This company calls me every day, usually in the morning or early evening. Whenever I block a number, they just ring back with a slightly different number, like they’ve just changed one or two digits. It’s pretty annoying.

They just called me a moment ago, so I looked up the number online. They've buzzed me like 11 times over the last few days. Always some foreign voice chatting about credit cards or loans or whatever. They even read out my old address. I told them I’m only 17, but the woman didn't believe me and said I'm not. My partner got a call on 12/1/16 around 10:30am from someone claiming the government had set aside cash for PPI compensation, saying we could claim up to £1400. They asked for personal info but my wife refused, saying she never had PPI. The caller mentioned banks like Barclays and HSBC, which we've never used. She told them we’re on the TPS list and to stop ringing. Then, just a minute later, the same bloke called back and shocked us by saying, "Mrs Breed, are you MENTALLY HANDICAPPED?" My wife told him off and slammed the phone down. Does anyone know if this outfit is based in the UK? I'd like to know where to find them and give ’em a piece of my mind. Caller was unknown.
