I’ve received a request asking for my bank details and password in order to facilitate a payment, which I find quite concerning. This has been flagged with the authorities as it seems to fall under cybercrime.

They just won't stop ringing-it’s clearly some sort of washing machine con!

Got a call from someone saying I had to restart my direct debit for a washing machine check-up. They hinted they might be from D and G, but I think they're actually calling themselves Home Service Repair. Sounded pretty convincing, but thankfully I didn't get tricked.

Got a call from this person talking about 'domestic appliances' or something, but honestly, I found it really confusing. Seems like it was a scam to me.

I’m quite worried about these callers since they already had my name, phone number, and even my postcode. It feels like more than just a scam - could be a serious risk for identity theft. Honestly, I’d be super careful if I were you. Normally I’m pretty sharp about these things, but because they seemed to know so much about me already, I didn’t realise what was going on as fast as I normally would.

Total rip-off!

I never asked for this.

This number has rung me a few times lately. Every time I pick up, all I get is static and some weird crackling noise that goes on forever - I can’t even hang up properly! They never leave a voicemail either, just that annoying noise for ages. I’m on the TPS and completely ex-directory, so it’s rubbish that they keep ignoring those protections nowadays.

They rung but just went straight to voicemail, so I didn’t pick up. Tried dialing the number back but it was just dead, no connection. Sounds fishy to me - we get loads of calls like this and our number isn’t listed anywhere. Probably some kind of scam.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from “Lomestic insurance,” telling me I had to renew my appliance cover. When I asked what appliances, he said a fridge and cooker, both of which I’ve had for years with no insurance at all. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

There was no message left on my voicemail, which to me usually screams some kind of foul play. Checking this number out here just confirmed my suspicion - definitely seems like a scam. I’d say calls like this are just plain harassment at the very least.

Received a call purporting to be from either "Sky" or "Skype" security. The caller had a rather pronounced accent and seemed quite jittery. Interestingly, they requested to speak to someone named Mr XX, who doesn't reside at this address. Apparently, that individual owned this number prior to me, and I’ve had it since May 2009.

I received a call that mentioned my name, but it turned out to be related to the washing machine at flat 10. We haven't resided there for five years now, and truth be told, the old washer was swapped out long ago. The caller had such a thick accent that I really struggled to figure out who they were trying to reach. Quite baffling, really!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Domestic Appliance Insurance, mentioning something about our washing machine and fridge freezer. The thing is, we've never been customers of theirs nor do we hold any insurance with them; we’ve got a policy with another company entirely. Quite suspicious!

Received a call from someone claiming to be from Kitchen Appliance Insurance, saying they were reaching out regarding the insurance for my fridge/freezer, washer, and cooker, which supposedly is on the verge of expiration. To be honest, if she hadn't rattled off all those items, I might have given it a second thought. Instead, I graciously told her to take a hike!

Received a call purporting to be from a home appliances company. We have no affiliations whatsoever with them. To be honest, I could barely make out what the chap was on about. This isn’t the first encounter we've had with these scammers. Save yourself the hassle and don’t bother engaging with their deceitful ramblings.

I received a rather suspicious call regarding insurance from Domestic and General, concerning our washing machine and fridge, which she claimed were on the verge of their coverage running out. I made it clear that we haven’t had any insurance in place for quite some time. She insisted it was an exclusive offer. I requested she send me the particulars via post. It certainly felt like a scam to me!
