This bloke, sounding a bit foreign, said his name was David or something like that and called me about my Sky gear. When he asked if it was a good time, I told him no. Then he wanted to know how he could assist, I just told him I don’t have Sky and told him to bugger off!

Some bloke rang up saying he was from the "warranty dept", but didnt say what company or what I supposedly had a warranty on. Seemed like a total rip off to me, definitely a scam.

Why cant the phone companies just stop these firms from constantly switching and blocking their numbers? They keep using different ones all the time. It’s a proper scam and really risky, like dangerous gadgets messing with people. They should be put away.

Received a call claiming my washing machine's warranty was about to run out. However, I had no clue about the specific model. The person on the line had that typical accent you often hear; they mainly seemed interested in getting my personal information.

Received a call about some sort of home appliance insurance saying I’ve supposedly been paying £300 yearly. They started asking if I wanted a discount. I kept telling them I’ve never had insurance with them but they kept pushing, wouldn’t accept no for an answer. Really hoping they don’t have access to my bank info.

Got called by someone pretending to be from a home appliance company, they knew my name and even my address which was kinda scary. I just kept saying "I don’t know" to every question they asked. At the end, they were like “Why do you keep saying you don’t know to everything?” and I told them “Because I both know and don’t know.” Then they just ended the call.

I received a rather dubious call regarding insurance for my fridge/freezer, washing machine, and cooker - all supposedly from Hotpoint. They claimed my coverage had expired, stating those items are seven years old. It's clear this is a phishing attempt, especially since I don't own any of those appliances, and the ones I do are far younger than that. Quite the cheek!

I received a call from this number but couldn’t pick up, so I decided to return the call on a secure line. To my surprise, a message greeted me stating that the number isn’t currently in service. I received a pitch for insurance covering household items, but when I pressed for details on the brands, she couldn't provide a single name. She claimed paperwork had been dispatched, but it never arrived. Quite clearly, this is a con.

Received a rather dubious call the other day where someone was pretending to represent D&G, trying to persuade me to insure additional products. They only seemed interested in what I wanted to insure, with not a single inquiry about the specifics of my items. Then, they handed me over to another chap who was all too keen to collect my payment details, like my entire card number, sort code, and account info. I promptly ended the call, and wouldn’t you know it, the rude fellow rang back immediately! It's obvious to me that this is nothing but a scam, and they’re definitely not affiliated with D&G. Just a word of caution to everyone out there!

I received a call from someone claiming they were reaching out to "renew" our appliance insurance. However, upon informing them that we actually didn't have such a policy, the story conveniently shifted to them needing to sell us a brand new one. It was evident that this was a scam.
