While I was out, my husband, who’s recently been very unwell after surgery and got a bit confused due to an infection, answered a call and ended up signing up for some kind of cover for our fridge freezer and washing machine - both still under warranty. He even gave his bank details. Thankfully, I managed to get his bank card cancelled and stopped the Direct Debit the company set up. They made it look really convincing, with proper paperwork and a website that seemed legit. Fingers crossed it’s all sorted now, but just be careful, this lot are quite clever!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with DOMESTIC and General, saying they're giving a discount on our appliances since we supposedly didn't make any breakdown claims last year - which isn’t true. The policy is under my wife’s name, but he kept saying both Mr and Mrs H were covered. He was wrong though, because my wife’s surname is Mrs M, not H.
