My dad got a call from this number a couple of months back. It turned out to be from Cover Team Direct, trying to pressure him into appliance service plans. They even attempted to charge his credit card after he clearly told them to cancel, but luckily his bank stopped the payment. They target older folks like it's some sort of hunting party. I'm convinced these scammers run several shady companies registered just to dodge FCA rules. Honestly, it's really upsetting and quite vile!

Received a couple of calls about insuring my appliances, they claimed I’d been signed up with them for three years - thing is, I’ve never taken out insurance on any white goods. Asked them to send some proof but they never did. Then they rang again saying I’d been on their books for four years now. When I challenged them, they got quite aggressive and insisted I’d been paying £340 annually. Asked for evidence again and when I accused them of trying to scam me, they got really defensive. Quite peculiar, considering I’ve never set foot in a Sky contract nor have I ever shown the slightest interest in one! How amusing, right? (chuckles) Do tread carefully with these dodgy calls. They often come across as very convincing and ever so polite, but I can almost bet that the next thing she’d have done was to ask for my bank details to ‘renew’ a non-existent contract. Not on your life! I’m far too savvy for that nonsense. Best of luck to them, but they won’t be getting a penny from me!
