If you get a message asking you to phone +44 20 3332 2932, it’s most likely a scam, so don’t call back. They try to trick you into giving away your crypto account info, especially if you use Binance or Coinbase. The story they use is usually that your account has been hacked or compromised. This con’s been going on all weekend and is still active today. They’re pretty good at making it sound legit, so just be careful.

I just got a call from someone pretending to be Binance, total scam. Don’t answer if that number pops up, they’re just trying to get into your account. Luckily, my account is still safe, so don’t worry if you get a call like this.

Got a message that looked like it was from Binance, but turned out to be a scam. They somehow used what seemed like the official Binance texting service to try and trick me. Just a heads up, Binance wouldn’t ever ask you for your account details via text. Best to always log in straight through their website and get help only from their official support channels.

Coverteam Direct Ltd are up to their usual tricks, and Which.co.uk is finally cracking down on them since more folks are speaking out. They’ve got a terrible rep for trying to sell services that end up being scams, at least from what victims have shared. It seems they’re connected with other sketchy companies registered at Companies House, all fishing for personal details to harass people over the phone. My dad fell for their nonsense as well. Definitely keep reporting them to Action Fraud and [email protected] to help stop this.

Got a call from a number I didn’t know, no voicemail left. After checking the reviews here, looks like it’s a dodgy appliance insurance scam. I’ve never signed up for any extended warranties, so no way any appliance company would have my info. Blocked the number straight away.

This morning at about 10:57 am, I got a call from someone named Jack claiming to be from Services Homeplan. He said my insurance for my fridge freezer and washing machine had expired and wanted to confirm my address, which he already seemed to know. When I asked where he got my info from, he said Services Homeplan. I told him that was incorrect, and he just repeated 'not true', said sorry, and hung up. Definitely seemed like a scam to me.

Got a call from a company about my current appliance cover, sounded pretty legit at first with some usual questions about costs and recent repairs. The person on the phone tried to sell me a cheaper plan to save money, but when I asked about paying all at once, I noticed something was off - definitely not my usual provider. Be careful, this seems like a scam call!

My usual warranty for white goods was about to run out. When I told the caller I’d never signed up for any extended cover, she was actually quite polite. It’s really sad that people have to spend their time making these dodgy scam calls. I’m left wondering if those on the other end even believe what they’re saying or if they’re fully aware it’s a con.

These lot called pretending to be from some Home Solutions, trying to sell me a bargain on my appliances. This is the third time now they’ve rung. The first time, my husband answered and messd with them a bit before putting the phone down. I had a go on the second call and played along for a laugh, then told them I wasn’t falling for their dodgy scheme. They’ve just called once more and I told the caller straight that I knew it was a con. He sounded proper annoyed, but I just told them to stop bothering us.

Got a ring from this number about an hour back, claiming something about insurance for my 'Indesit' washing machine. The lady on the other end had an Indian accent and was pretty pushy, but when I told her I don’t even own a washing machine, she suddenly softened and ended the call quite nicely. Bit odd really - felt like she might’ve been tricked into trying to scam me without even realising it. Who can say for sure though!

They seemed to know my name and introduced themselves as "Services Home Plan," saying they could merge multiple appliance insurance policies into one, promising a hefty 45% discount. When I requested a written confirmation, they abruptly ended the conversation.
5 years
The chap on the other end recognised my name and claimed he was revising my information while attempting to entice me with a discount. He asserted that I had forked out £200 last year for insurance on kitchen appliances; however, that was completely untrue and utterly nonsensical. His persistence was quite trying, and I must admit my patience wore thin eventually, as it was evident he was gearing up for some kind of scam. Despite my irritation, he maintained an air of calm. In the end, he didn't quite get to the crux of his pitch; he merely stated he would amend my information and then bid me farewell. Quite the crafty trickster, if you ask me!

Just got a call about extending my kitchen appliance warranty at a supposedly discounted price. The lady was quite clear and didn’t have the typical Indian accent you hear on these calls. She kept saying she wasn’t after my bank details, but then asked for the postcode of my bank’s address, saying something about their system deleting data 24 hours after the last contract ended.
