Didn’t even catch what the scam was about, just heard the Indian accent and some noise in the background and told them to buzz off and get on with their own lives.

This number rang me up today. When I returned the call, it turned out to be some parking firm. Don't know what they wanted with me, so I just blocked them.

Got a call from someone asking for the policy holder. It felt like one of those scammy calls from an Indian call centre so I just ended the call. Definitely a scam, if you ask me.

Got a call out of the blue about insurance for my washing machine. The lady said it was about to expire and asked for my sort code to renew it. Thing is, my insurance isn’t up for another half a year. Then some “Manager” popped up offering me a discount. Definitely a scam, don’t fall for it!

This was definitely a scam. Don't trust these calls!

Got a call on the landline from 0203332293721 at about 5 pm, but I don’t remember making or expecting a call then. I used Sky’s Talk Shield to get details, and after a quick look on this site, it's clear I’m adding this to my blocked numbers. Cheers for everyone’s input on this number!

I got a call and the person asked for my wife by her name, saying the insurance on our Hotpoint washing machine we supposedly bought in 2018 was ending soon. I told them we don’t own a Hotpoint, but an Indesit instead. They admitted their records might be off and said sorry for the mix-up. After seeing other reviews, I reckon if we had a Hotpoint, they’d have pushed some kind of offer on us. The whole thing just felt a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call from this number about some kitchen appliance insurance that was supposedly up for renewal. It didn’t feel right because I don’t even have that kind of policy. So, I just ended the call thinking it was a scam.

I got a call from someone saying they were sending a service plan for my appliances to my place. What worried me is that they had my full name and address, even though I’m ex-directory and not listed on the electoral roll. I told them to just post the papers to my address and I’d sort it once it arrives.

Got a call from a woman who knew my name and said she was calling about insurance for my appliances. When I asked which ones, she mentioned the washing machine and dishwasher. I told her straight away it sounded like a scam, but she kept insisting it wasn’t. After she tried to convince me a couple of times, I just told her it was a scam again and hung up. Blocked the number right after.

I got a call about a discount on my home appliance cover but it wasn’t from the company I usually deal with. I told them to send me the details in writing and said I’d decide after looking it over. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll be seeing any letter soon.

This bloke from SHP rang me about renewing my policy. He claimed I’d never heard of them but said they’re connected to my insurance company. Weirdly, he used my mum’s old name, which has been gone for ages, and mixed up a couple of details. Then he tried to tempt me with a 30% discount but said he’d need my personal info to sort it. I told him to send me a letter instead. At first, he sounded pretty convincing, so this feels really dodgy.

21st April 2021 at 1:50 PM: Received a call from 02033322937 on my home phone (which is quite obscure). There was simply nothing on the line for 30 seconds - no beeps, no background noise, just eerie silence.

Got a call from someone saying they were from "the appliance centre" (a Robert bloke). When I asked them about the company, they just ended the call straight away. Sounds dodgy to me, probably trying to push some fake warranty and steal my bank info. We've had a couple of calls like this before too.
