Today I got a robocall saying they wanted to tell me that there were two attempts to take money out of my bank account.

Just like others said, got a call from a number showing the local area code, 02032904099. They claimed to be from the bank’s fraud team, saying they’d blocked a £300 payment to Amazon and a £1100 overseas transfer. Totally a scam, don’t fall for it!

Received a call earlier today from this number, claiming to be from Barclays. It seemed fishy - definitely a scam. I fed them a bunch of nonsense info instead!

Got a ring from some automated voice warning me about dodgy transactions on Amazon and Western Union. I hit option 2 to chat with someone and fed them nonsense info for laughs. Oddly enough, they claimed they’d found an account that matched and told me to phone 02032094099 to talk with their "fraud" team. Total scam, beware.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from my bank saying there were weird charges on my account, like payments to Amazon and some overseas transfer. They said I needed to ring their Anti-Fraud department and gave me a number. I rang my bank straight away and they said it was a scam. The next day, they called again and when I told them I'd checked with my bank, they asked what the bank said. I told them it was confirmed a scam, and then the bloke just hung up.

Watch out, this person claims to be from the bank’s fraud department but it’s definitely a scam. Absolutely do not share any info with them!

Today I got a call from a guy who said his name was Peter, though I doubt that’s true. He wanted me to move a big sum of money into an account he’d apparently opened for me under a fake name, telling me it’d be safe from thieves chasing it. I didn’t fall for it, but seriously, keep an eye on your older family members and neighbours and maybe try to get this number blacklisted.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from my bank’s fraud dept (HSBC). Turns out it was a vishing scam. They tried to scare me into following their instructions but it was all fake. No fraud case or investigation was actually happening. Never trust those calls - best thing is to hang up and ring your actual bank’s fraud team yourself. These are just scammers trying to trick you.

Someone phoned my elderly mum pretending to be from the fraud team at her bank, claiming there had been unauthorised access and money taken from her account. They said she had to move all her funds to a 'secure' account right away. Since she doesn’t do online banking, they made her ring the bank herself to sort it out, telling her to say the money was going to her son in law's account because supposedly the bank staff were involved in the scam too. Luckily, the real fraud department at the bank spotted the trick in time and blocked the transfer before any money went missing.

They claim to be from Barclays fraud team, but it's totally a scam! Watch out!
