My mum and dad, aged 82 and 91, were really unsettled by the call. You could tell it really shook them up.

On Wednesday the 5th of September, my 91-year-old mum got a phone call from this number, threatening her with fraud charges. She was really scared and even thought she might be facing jail time. Luckily, she thought to check the number online and then called me straight away, a bit shaken. Thanks to this website, I could reassure her it was just a scam. It’s really worrying stuff. Hopefully, these scammers get cracked down on quickly.

This has gotta be a scam too, I reckon. Just doesn’t seem right at all. They keep calling and sounding off, like they’re up to no good. Definitely something dodgy going on here. Be careful, folks!

Got a call from someone saying they were HMRC, but nah, it was defo a scam. HMRC would never ring you up with a robotic voice like that. Just ignore those dodgy calls!

Somebody rang me supposedly from HMRC, telling me I was involved in tax evasion and that there was a legal case going on against me. Seemed proper dodgy to me.

It sounded really official and intimidating, which would be terrifying for someone who’s vulnerable. The whole thing came across as threatening and made me feel quite uneasy.

Got a voicemail from someone saying they were from HMRC with a warrant number and some sort of legal notice. They warned me about a legal case being started against me and all that. Obviously, it’s just a scam, but was pretty unsettling to hear! I’m ignoring it completely.

I got a voicemail from someone claiming to be HMRC, saying they had a case number for me and there was a threat of arrest hanging over my head. They told me to call back and when I did, they insisted I'd be arrested unless I paid an outstanding balance. The amount they mentioned was £3456. I'm currently trying to figure out what’s really going on here.

Got this recorded message saying it was HMRC about cleaning charges, obvious scam stuff. The number actually belongs to some business down in Jersey. Best to ignore and not pick up.
