got a ring from a strange number saying they were from bt open reach because there was a complaint about our internet. since our broadband has been patchy lately, i nearly fell for it but felt a bit iffy since bt isn't the company we use. I asked them for a callback number, and they gave me one with the name jamal fingers on it. after hanging up, i looked up the number online and came across this site.

Just got a call from this number about my internet, but my line is already down and I've no connection until next week. The caller said his name was Niko Hedge. I hung up and tried ringing back after a short while, but it just kept saying the line was busy. If you're having issues with your internet, best to get in touch directly with your service provider instead of random numbers like this.

Got a call from this number earlier, some bloke who said his name was Jamal Fingers (yeah, I asked twice ‘cos it sounded odd, he even said ‘like hands’). He claimed to be with BT, saying there were issues with my internet. I ended the call quick, no idea what he was after, but it definitely wasn’t BT ringing me.

I got a call from this number saying it was ‘bt’ warning about scam calls and told me to switch my internet off for 10 minutes. When I asked why they were bothering me since I don’t even have bt, the woman on the line suddenly got really rude and started threatening to disconnect my internet, phone, and even my mobile. Proper dodgy behaviour.

We received a call from this number purporting to represent BT, warning us about dodgy calls from firms pretending to be BT and advising us to unplug our router for a period of ten minutes. When we expressed our confusion regarding their call-seeing as we don’t even subscribe to BT-the woman on the line became quite hostile, threatening to disconnect our internet, phone, and mobile services! Quite the experience, I must say.
