6 yearsI got a call on 13/07/2020 from 02656923113, a woman named Anna Wilson she said. She sounded Indian and there was this weird long echo when I answered. She told me she was from BT's service department and warned that loads of dodgy computers were messing with my IP address. Then she asked to get into my registry files or something. She also told me if I was unsure I could call BT's customer service on 02032891189. Felt a bit fishy to me.Anna WilsonBT6 yearsI wouldn’t recommend answering this number at all. Earlier today, a man with an Indian accent rang me up, saying he was from the BT cyber security team. He wanted me to execute some script on my laptop, saying it would let him spot who was attempting to hack into my internet. When I asked for proof or any info about my account, he couldn’t give me a single thing to back it up.BT6 yearsDon’t pick up or share any info with them. This bloke rang me saying my internet had been hacked and he needed to fix it by getting access to my computer remotely. I said no way and then phoned Sky, my internet provider, who told me straight away it was a scam.Sky10 yearsI've been getting these persistent calls from someone masquerading as Microsoft. I've repeatedly requested them to cease their calls, yet they simply won't take the hint and continue to ring me. It's becoming quite tiresome!Microsoft10 yearsToday I got a call from a guy who sounded Indian or from somewhere abroad. He already knew my name and address, which freaked me out a bit. He claimed to be from Microsoft and told me there was an issue with my computer. Then he tried to get me to switch on my PC and follow his instructions step-by-step so he could fix the problem remotely. When I refused, he got pushy and even threatened that Microsoft might charge me a big fine if I didn’t comply. I just ended the call straight away!MicrosoftSubmit Your Own Report (020 3289 1189)
