Some guy with an Asian accent who said his name was 'Kevin' (definitely not his proper name) rang our home phone pretending to be from Windows Support. I ended the call straight away. I've been caught out by these scammers before, so I’m not daft. I’m on the TPS list for both my landline and mobile, yet these calls still slip through. Got a call from a man with an Asian accent claiming to be from the TPS about nuisance calls. He had my name and address and said my TPS registration needed updating. Someone called saying they were from the phone preference service. They tried to get my 90 year old mum’s bank info, and she’s got dementia. About people hanging up straight away when you pick up: I guess it's normal with autodiallers. They dial loads at once and lots don’t even go through properly. somebody claiming to be from Microsoft kept saying they had to check my computer, i just hung up every time. got about ten calls yestarday and a couple more today, really annoying!

I received a rather unsettling phone call from a bloke named Jack, who claims to be of Asian descent. He insisted that my Windows machine is infected with a virus. For the record, I don’t even use Windows! Our conversation quickly turned confrontational, and when I requested to speak to someone higher up, he maintained that he was indeed the supervisor. He kept interrupting me and repeating himself, which was rather infuriating. To put it mildly, he was exceedingly impolite!

Got a call from an asian lady claiming she was from 'telephone preference', she already had my name and where I live. She asked if I pay my phone bill by direct debit, then went on to ask for my card info. That’s when I knew something was fishy and ended the call. It’s scary how much these lot seem to know, makes it really easy to get tricked.

Got a call from an Asian guy asking me to take part in a survey for "Consumer UK". I told him I don’t do these surveys, then he just hung up. If the caller sees this, maybe stick to bothering folks back home instead of trying to scam people here in the UK.

I’ve had this number ring me five times just this week! Each time I pick up, they hang up. It’s becoming utterly frustrating! There ought to be a way to block these pesky callers automatically on our phones, rather than relying on the service providers to sort it out. They really should implement call barring as a standard feature!

They just drop the call right when you pick up. I tried calling back to actually speak with someone but it just says "service can't be connected". How on earth is it allowed for them to have my private number, call me, hang up straight away and then block me from calling them back?! It's just shocking.
