I am absolutely furious! My mother, who is upset and elderly, just contacted me to inform me about a call she received from this number. A soft-spoken woman, speaking in English, claimed to be from HMRC and warned of serious consequences if she didn't receive a call back on a provided number. The individual responsible for this despicable act is behaving at the very depths of morality. The call greatly distressed my mother. Thankfully, she did not return the call as it is evidently a fraudulent scheme. Who should we report this detestable behaviour to? Action needs to be taken.

I recently got an automated voice call from this number claiming to be from HMRC. The message insisted that I call a specific number right away to prevent legal consequences. It's obviously a scam. First of all, the message sounded highly suspicious. Moreover, it came through on a business line, so there's no way they would know who would answer the call. They also failed to mention my name or anyone else's. HMRC would never reach out via an auto dialer, an automated voice message, or use such a "time-sensitive" threat to contact taxpayers. It's best to disregарard it completеly.

A man from a foreign country has claimed to be an employee of the SSE metering department. He insists that he requires my meter number because the satellite connected to SSE isn't transmitting the meter reading accurately, which may result in incorrect billing. When I contacted SSE about this issue, they were unaware of any problems. This all seems suspicious, and it's likely a scam. I strongly advise against sharing our meter number with him as it may lead to unauthorized switching of our electricity supply to other energy providers. The man has persistently called me five times already. Moreover, when I requested his phone number to return his call, he responded rudely and told me to be quiet multiple times.

I have been receiving numerous calls from 0203 numbers, mostly related to investments and other fraudulent activities. As a result, I have configured my landline phone to activate the "Do Not Disturb" feature. Consequently, whenever someone calls me, I do not hear the phone ring. However, I still check the caller's identity on this device. To alleviate these disturbances, I have informed all my friends and family that they should leave a message for me if they need to get in touch, and I will return their call. This method has successfully prevented a significant amount of abuse.

I didn't pick up the phone. If the number is unfamiliar or not saved in my contacts, I simply let it go. If the call is important, the person should leave a voicemail, but since they haven't, it can't be too urgent. People who are familiar with me usually text or leave a voicemail message.
