Number showed as one nearby. No one picked up this time. Normally it’s some dodgy "Windows support" or fake survey calls. They either fake my area code or one close by, so blocking is tricky. Gets through daily, at least once, for ages now.

I received a rather peculiar phone call from a woman speaking with an Asian accent, claiming to represent BT. She insisted that I needed to sit at my computer to address an 'unauthorised' Norton issue that had somehow appeared (her exact expressions, mind you!). Feeling a bit uneasy about the conversation, I politely expressed my discomfort and decided to hang up.

They keep ringing up, asking for my other half. I always say he’s not around right now and ask if I can take a message, then they suddenly wanna know if I’m his missus. I’m like, nope, just a partner. Then the call just ends abruptly. It’s an Asian bloke on the line. This isn’t the first time either, sometimes I get these calls up to 3 or 4 times a day, but they never say what it’s about. Very annoying.

I keep receiving calls from this particular number, and every time it's the same - an Asian-sounding voice on the line claiming to be from the Windows support team discussing my computer issues. I always respond with, "How odd, I don't own a computer," and they promptly hang up. It’s concerning how these individuals target the elderly and those who may be easily misled. Isn’t there a way for the authorities to track down this number and take action? - caller: 02031988103

For the last three mornings, I've been receiving calls from the same number. Initially, it was a woman on the line who simply said goodbye and cut off. However, this time, the caller claimed to be from BT and insisted there was an issue with my computer. I told her quite firmly that I thought this to be a scam and warned her that I’d report her to the authorities if she dared to ring me again. I then promptly ended the call.

Early on a Saturday morning, I got a call from an Asian woman who knew my name and even had my postcode right. She asked if I had a working Hotpoint washing machine. I said sorry, I couldn’t quite catch her as it was so early and the phone woke me up. She repeated the question, and I said no. Then she mentioned a different brand of washing machine. When I asked why she was calling so early and what it was all about, she just hung up. They ring several times a day but never leave any messages. I received a call at a rather early hour-9:05 am on a Saturday, no less! The chap on the other end claimed to be reaching out to assist me with a supposed computer virus. When I mentioned I owned multiple computers, he immediately insisted that they were all compromised and he was eager to demonstrate the virus to me if I just hopped on one. Curiously, he couldn’t specify what operating system I was using; it seemed it didn't matter to him as long as I followed his instructions. Received a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft. The chap had a clear Asian accent and I could hear a bustling call centre environment in the background, which raised my suspicions. He queried whether I'd recently updated to Windows 10, and although I was rather dubious, I admitted that we had indeed tinkered with our setup before opting to reinstall Windows 7. I expressed my discomfort regarding conversing with unknown callers and following instructions on my laptop from someone I didn’t know. Despite my hesitations, he insisted it was merely a system check he needed to perform. I couldn't help but wonder how on earth he obtained our phone number and postcode in the first place. Regrettably, his manner had me wavering, and I began following his directions, hitting the Windows button and 'R', when suddenly, without a hint of warning, he hung up. This resulted in the 'run' prompt appearing on my screen, thankfully halting me from entering anything else or hitting the OK button. It confirmed my fears; he was indeed a scammer. Perhaps he sensed he couldn't manipulate my system since I wasn't in the right menu and promptly aborted the whole charade. Now I’m feeling a tinge of anxiety, wondering if these fraudsters are up to something nefarious behind the scenes... - caller: Suspected con artist.

I've had the misfortune of receiving a staggering 22 phone calls from these individuals in the span of just eight days! They call at all sorts of hours, from a jarring 7:35 in the morning to a rather late 10:15 in the evening. Despite my repeated requests for them to remove my number from their list, it seems futile, as a few hours later, the same number crops up again. It's maddening, to say the least. I've given up on answering now; they just seem relentless. Every time it's the same old story-asking me to hop on my computer for some dubious ‘assistance’. Do they really think we're gullible? First thing, he asked for me by name, then rattled off my address and postcode. Wanted to check if I owned the place and if I was over 20. 0203 1988 103 This bloke (sounds like an Asian gent) rings up and knows your full name, address and postcode, then asks you to verify it. Do NOT confirm anything, just say you're not the person they're after. There really ought to be action taken against this number because they seem to be jumping from one scam to another. Since they’re gathering personal details now, it makes it much riskier as a lot of folks will just give them what they want. If you’ve got caller ID on your home phone and this number shows up, best not pick up.

02031988103 These calls keep coming in all the time so I make a note of their numbers. The smartest move is to NOT hang up straight away. If your phone's not back on the charger or in the cradle, they can't make any calls from it. Just watch your screen - their number stays there, meaning they’re still on the line. I've tried this quite a few times, and the longer you keep the phone off the cradle, the more likely they’ll stop calling your number. I rarely get called by the same one twice, but when I do, they get the same treatment every time :)
