Earlier today, I received a rather peculiar call on my mobile from an Asian-sounding gentleman without any number showing. He claimed to be with BT's technical support, insisting that my internet connection had been compromised and urged me to visit a certain website to resolve the issue. When I pressed him for verification, he provided a number, but frankly, it felt dodgy. Upon expressing my suspicions about his legitimacy, he threatened to disconnect my phone service for a month before abruptly hanging up. Quite the shady character, indeed!

A few days back, I was contacted by this number regarding my computer allegedly being compromised. I mentioned I was rather preoccupied at that moment. They insisted they would ring back, and true to their word, they did today! They claimed to be from the BT Technical Department and even threatened to terminate my service if I didn’t comply with their demands! The caller had a prominent Indian accent which made it quite challenging to follow the conversation. I decided to play along for a bit, hoping to provoke an angry response from him-a classic indicator of a scam, if you ask me! Unfortunately, he remained quite composed, which was a bit disappointing. He repeated the same number to me before I hung up on him.

I received a call moments ago from someone purporting to be from BT. They attempted to persuade me to follow some steps, stating that my broadband was under attack. Clearly a scam, if you ask me!

I've experienced the exact same issue! Gave BT a ring, and they assured me they would put a stop to that number. Can't fault BT for their assistance!

I received a rather suspicious call from someone claiming to be from Sky's technical support team. They mentioned that there had been some hacking issues with my router and proceeded to instruct me to head over to the App Store to install TeamViewer. They even provided a ridiculously strange password: "Ms config." At that point, I decided to hang up, as it all seemed rather dodgy. They didn't ask for any payment, which is a bit odd, but the entire conversation gave me the feeling that it was a scam. The only two names I got from them were Serena and Graham; who knows if they were even real?

I've been receiving relentless calls from individuals purporting to be from the BT tech support team. It's quite alarming, really. Don’t you think BT ought to take a closer look into this fraudulent scheme? If they aren't, it raises some serious questions, doesn't it?

I received a call that definitely gave off call centre vibes, seemed to be from overseas. The woman on the line claimed to be from BT and started talking about internet hackers, asking what sort of computers we owned. Straight away, I was suspicious; it felt like an odd conversation, and I refused to share any details. When I pressed her on how I could verify she was indeed from BT, she rattled off some vague ID linked to our internet service. I asked for a contact number to call her back, and she provided me with this one. There's no way I'm calling it, though - it just didn't sound trustworthy to me at all.

I've just received a phone call claiming to be from BT-what a total con! The caller identified herself as Anna McRow. I decided to keep her talking for quite a while as I brewed myself a lovely cup of tea, since my computer takes an eternity to start up! 😂

I received a rather alarming phone call claiming that my internet security was compromised. I played along initially, but began to feel uneasy when they instructed me to install Team Viewer. I should’ve cut the conversation off much earlier, as now I'm left feeling quite silly for even engaging. They claimed to represent BT from London, yet it had all the hallmarks of an overseas call centre.

Received a call claiming to be from British Telecom! Sounds fishy, doesn't it? They insisted someone was attempting to compromise my phone line and provided me with a number and an ID to ring back. Naturally, I did a quick search online for the number and decided against returning the call. When they tried to follow up, asking why I hadn’t got back to them, I explained that the number didn’t appear to be associated with BT and that I was wary it could be a scam. They abruptly hung up on me!
