Got a call just like the BT scams folks here have mentioned. They wanted me to share a "partner id" on Team Viewer, said it was 4444 27207. They were trying to get in remotely, but luckily my anti-virus caught it and I don't do any banking on my computer, so no harm done. Called BT myself and yep, they confirmed it’s a scam.

I just had an encounter with someone claiming to be from BT technical support. They were asking for my account information, which totally sounded dodgy to me. Definitely a scam! Make sure to block them immediately!

Got a call about my internet on 3rd Feb 2018, around 9 in the morning. The guy sounded like he was in a busy call centre, with a strong Asian accent. He claimed he was from BT and wanted to talk about some issue with my broadband. I just ended the call straight away.

These scammers almost got £900 out of my mum, who’s 85 and has dementia! Absolutely disgraceful!

The number showed up as international, so my wife decided not to pick up. After looking it up on your site, she realised she made the right call.

Got a call again this week from a woman with an Indian accent. She said "hello" like three times in a row, then asked how I was doing. Afterwards, she claimed she was calling from BT and said my internet was not working, which is totally not true. I just let her keep talking and ended the call by hanging up.

Some bloke with an Indian accent called me, claiming he was from BT about a broadband issue. You could hear loads of other voices in the background, like he was in a call centre with people doing the same scam. I ended up chatting to him for about 7 minutes just to waste his time.

Got a call from an Indian bloke saying my BT broadband was hacked, I just ended the call. Then he called again right away, asking why I cut him off, so I told him he’s a scammer. He kept pushing until I mentioned the number he was calling from is marked as suspicious. He sounded a bit flustered when I repeated the number to him. These muppets, honestly. Is there no way to stop these idiots?

Got a call this morning around 9.05 from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was from BT. He told me my computer was at risk and offered to guide me on how to stop it happening again. I told him I wasn’t going to do anything since he called me out of the blue, and he just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from an Indian bloke saying he was with BT, telling me there was a fault with my internet. This was the second call today, but the phone number wasn’t the same as before. I just told him, “Not this again, mate. Stop calling,” and ended the call. Clearly a dodgy scam.

Got a call from this number out of the blue while I was eating, so irritating! Really relieved to see it listed here now. If they ring again, I’ll give them a piece of my mind since I’m on the TPS. Just a heads up, I left BT ages ago after calling them about a similar call, and they refused to share who was behind it, claiming it would break data protection rules.

The call said it was from BT but the accent was clearly Indian and it smelt like a total scam.

My elderly mum, who’s 85, got a call from someone pretending to be with HMRC saying she owed £900 in tax and would be sent to prison if she didn’t pay. She was really scared and even withdrew the money, planning to meet them. Luckily, the taxi driver she got told her not to go and contacted the police, who then took her back home. She’s really upset now and feels quite helpless.

I pretended to go along with it at first, but when he told me to open the terminal through the search box, I wasn’t having it! Then he wanted me to put TeamViewer in the address bar, which I flat out refused. After a few choice words, I just ended the call.

Got a call not long ago from someone with an Asian accent saying they were from BT tech support. Seems like these sorts of calls have been coming through quite a bit lately, so now I just ignore and hang up straight away.
