So this person called saying they were from BT and that my router was infected with malware or something. Then they asked me to install TeamViewer, which I later found out is a program that lets someone control your computer remotely. Turns out it was all a scam linked to a bogus BT site trying to take over my PC.

Here we go again, these Asian sneaks after our cash. It's about bloody time someone gave them a taste of their own medicine. The government won't step in, and the big corporations don't care since they're raking in the profits.

They had all my info, even my name. When I said I didn’t have a computer, he just ended the call.

Got a call from 01952857584, some bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT. He said someone was trying to hack into our broadband and TV. I told him to ring back later and hung up, but he called straight back right away. I just hung up again. Seems a bit dodgy to me, proper dangerous characters.

Calls in the early afternoon tend to come through, only to be terminated after a mere five seconds. Quite peculiar, isn’t it?

Got a call from this number just now. Some Asian bloke said he was calling from BT, claiming there’s a serious fault with my setup, meaning my computer’s vulnerable and anyone could get in. Sussed it was a scam pretty quick but played along saying, “Oh no! What should I do to fix it?” He told me to switch on my computer (which I don’t even own) and follow his steps so he could "secure" it. I told him straight up, “Look mate, you’d be better off in jail, that’s where we’ll all be safer. Cheers, goodbye.”

I got a quiet call with no one speaking, then after a while a robotic voice just said ‘goodbye’ - super irritating!

Got a call from someone called kevin fox, said he was from bt and there was an issue with my router. He asked for my account number to prove he was legit. I gave him a made up number just to test him. Then he came back with this ridiculously long number, like 30 digits or more, saying it was something only my computer could show. I usually enjoy a good debate but this one dragged on, so I just ended the call.

Got a call from some sort of asian call centre pretending to be BT internet support, they said there was an issue. Funny enough, the problem for them was I was actually using the internet right then. Total scam, beware!

I got a call from someone with an Asian accent, said they were from a call centre. They were telling me there were two different IP addresses at my place that needed sorting out or fixed. Sounded a bit dodgy to me.

Kept ringing and no answer from 01952857584, might give em a ring later but looks pretty dodgy to me. Reckon it’s a scam so I told my internet company about it. Surely, since it’s a landline and not a blocked number, they can track it down.

Got two calls from an unknown number, I didn't pick up either time. No voicemail or anything was left. Figured it was probably just a scam.

Got a call from someone saying they were from BT, claiming there was a serious issue with my internet that needed sorting straight away. I told them no way, I’m with Virgin Media, but they insisted it was the same company. Seems dodgy to me, probably a phishing attempt!

Got a call from a landline, number 01952857584, some bloke named David claiming to be from Openreach. He said there were threats on my router and asked me to turn on my computer so he could sort them out. It didn’t take long for me to suss out he was dodgy, especially his dodgy accent, so I told him to jog on.
