09142 917144 called me saying I had some kind of uninsured losses from a car accident nearly a year and a half ago. I told them I’m actually a solicitor and handle these cases regularly, but they didn’t seem to get it or believe me. It was like they had no idea what a solicitor is or what we do. They kept insisting I didn’t understand the situation.

ANOTHER SCAM CALL! These are happening way too often now and someone needs to catch, punish and shut down these dodgy call centres. THIS CRAZY RISE IN SCAM CALLS HAS TO END!!!!! I get dozens every week. The more I block, the more manage to get through! DOES ANYONE KNOW THE RIGHT PLACE TO REPORT THIS TO? Banks have created a scam report system and seem to be doing something about it. The losses run into millions of pounds annually but might be dropping. We really need a similar reporting and investigation setup specifically for phone calls.

This lady phoned me saying she was looking into a crash where apparently I got knocked over by a careless driver. I said I’d not had any accident. She kept pushing, so I kept denying it. When I asked her to say which insurance firm had given her my info, she just ended the call. Proper rude!!!

Spam call for sure! They claimed I’d been in a car accident (I don't even own a car). When I asked where they found my number, the woman on the line got quite snappy and said, “Your insurance company. You agreed to share your details.” I then asked which insurance company and she snapped back, “How should I know? If you don’t want your info shared, don’t tick those boxes.” Let’s just say she’s now aware exactly how much I hate unexpected calls like this.

They said they were from my insurance firm checking up on a claim. Couldn’t give me any details like the date, which car, place, other people involved, or even who my insurer was. Proper dodgy scam trying to fake it. They also said I could get some cash for my injuries but couldn’t back any of it up. Such a risky fraud attempt.

It took forever to get through to the "Scan desk" after I answered. The guy asked for me by name, so I said, "Just a sec, let me go find him." Then I muted the phone to see how long he'd wait. You could get your work mates to bet on it! It’s a funny little game, and we got up to 74 seconds before he finally picked up on it and hung up. Shame I lost the bet, I’m hoping they'll ring back so I can win my money back :o) Or maybe they’ll read these comments and realise we know what they’re up to.

Got a call about a crash I supposedly had last year. Never had one though. They kept me chatting for like 6 mins trying to reach Thomas, the so called advisor. Played along with his questions just to see what he was up to, total waste of time for both of us really. Heard loads of background noise to make it sound like a busy call centre. Def a scam, I’ve blocked the number now.

When I picked up, the bloke had real trouble saying my name. He said his name was Craig, which I was dead sure was bollocks, and that set him off arguing with me. Told him to f*** off if he was calling about some accident. No idea where he got my details or how he even made it through to me. Proper intimidating tone, which you'd not expect from someone claiming to work in insurance.

Sounds like a classic insurance con. I played along for a bit, and when they wanted the story, I said I was smashed on booze and drugs, drove onto the pavement, and ran over 14 people. The woman asked me to say it again, then told me to f#### off and hung up.

I just spent ages on the phone with some bloke who first said I’d been in a serious crash. Then changed it to a smaller one. Then said someone’d bumped into me. He had some insurance guy waiting on the line to chat about a fake £3000 I was meant to get. How generous. But apparently, they can’t pay until I give them all my bank info. Seriously! I really hope folks are smart enough to spot these dodgy scammers!

They said they were from the Motor Investigation Bureau, which sounds pretty much like the actual MIB if you’re not paying proper attention. The same old trick to try and gather details about some crashes I supposedly was part of, though I wasn’t. They wouldn’t take no for an answer and were really irritating.

Earlier today, I received a call from a bloke claiming to be looking into a car crash, and he rang me from a landline in Wigan. He seemed to be under the impression that I was involved somehow. I had to cut the conversation short as he was insistent we should partner up for the purpose of getting a payout from my insurance. I’ve come across information suggesting this could be a bit dodgy.
