Got a call while I was at work. The bloke on the other end asked when would be a good time to ring back. I told him I wanted to know what it was about before agreeing to any callback, and then he just ended the call. Blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from a woman reading off some script, claiming she "works alongside" a bunch of insurance firms. Wasn't intended for me though - she wanted to speak to my dad first. When I said he wasn’t around, she asked for my name next. I just told her, "No need, goodbye." Honestly, these calls are so annoying. Like someone else here mentioned, none of us have policies with any of those companies she rattled off. Plus, her accent was pretty thick and hard to follow at times. Definitely one of those scammy call centres that have zero clue who they’re ringing up.

Pretty odd really, they only knew my initials, which I only share with the bank and official places. They started going on about life insurance? When I asked for clarity, the person sounded lost. I wasn’t feeling great so I just kept saying, “I don’t get it, I’m not well, you’ll have to say that again 😂😂😂”. All true! After about three attempts of them trying to explain something about life insurance, it made zero sense. Eventually, I just hung up. If you’re from some ‘Runcorn life whatever’ company trying to sell me a policy, honestly, your sales skills are laughable! Who even are you?

Some woman called me and was clearly reading from a script. She claimed she had a note that I supposedly had an active life insurance policy with Sun Life or some other companies.
