I received a phone call earlier today, and while I mentioned that I was busy at work, the gentleman on the other end inquired when would be a good time for him to ring me again. Before I consented to a call back, I requested clarification on the purpose of his call. Unfortunately, he abruptly ended the conversation. I've since blocked the number.

I had a rather tiresome experience just the other day. A woman, clearly reading from a script, mentioned she was "working alongside" various insurance firms before rattling them off. The call wasn't intended for me; she was after my father, but as I informed her he was unavailable, she promptly asked for my name. To which I simply replied, "It’s of no consequence, goodbye." Honestly, they ought to just pack it in. As someone's mentioned previously, none of us have any policies with the firms she mentioned. Her accent was so thick, at times it was a challenge to decipher what she was saying. In essence, this was a spurious operation that hasn't even a clue about who they're reaching out to.

Found it rather odd that they only had my initials, which I only share with my bank and certain official bodies. They mentioned something about life insurance? When I asked for clarification, she seemed a bit baffled. Given that I wasn’t feeling great, I ended up saying, “I’m really not following you; I’m not well, could you please explain that again?” 😂😂😂 It’s all true, but in the end, I just hung up because her explanations were utterly nonsensical, even after trying three times to convey whatever point she thought she had about life insurance. I received a rather peculiar phone call today from a woman who seemed to be reading off a script. She mentioned having a note in front of her that indicated I held an active life insurance policy with Sun Life or potentially other companies. When I replied that I didn’t, she probed further, asking if I had ever possessed one. After a lengthy moment of contemplation, I hesitantly responded with “perhaps.” To my surprise, she simply agreed and then abruptly disconnected the call.
