Got a call from a guy with a Jamaican accent, twice actually, and he was pretty pushy saying I’d been in an accident and could claim some money. He got quite aggressive, but luckily, my experience as a police officer helped me handle it fast. Watch out for these scammers, they’ll try to get your personal details like your NI number. BEST THING TO DO IS JUST HANG UP!

I had a rather unpleasant encounter with a rather brusque female who clearly wasn't pleased about being probed for more information. She insisted that I had been scouring the web for life insurance options, something I can assure you I absolutely haven't done. She then asked "Is there a specific reason why not?" I replied "That's private and none of your business, so please don't ask that," and ended the call. If you’re interested in Life Insurance, answer the call, but if you’re not, it might become quite annoying.

I decided to have a bit of fun and kept her talking, curious to see just how much information she had on me - it turns out, almost everything! The kicker? I've never even taken out a life insurance policy! She confidently stated that she could increase my benefits while cutting my premiums. When I probed whether this was all with the same insurer, she confirmed it was. That's when I revealed I was trying to decipher the nature of the dubious operation she represented, and boy, did her demeanour change! She quickly became rather offended, insisting it was all about life insurance and that there was absolutely no chance of a scam involved.
