Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, someone chatting about insurance and checking if I wanted to look over my policy. They rang again later but I just didn’t pick up. Reading other comments here, seems like I’m not the only one with this. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

The initial call showed as 'No caller ID' and the bloke didn't say who he was, but weirdly he knew my name. He started going on about some sort of 'cover'. I told him I wasn’t interested and just ended the call. Then, just a few minutes later, the same chap rang back but this time the number was visible. He was really pushy, barely letting me speak. I told him to remove my number from his list, then hung up and blocked him straight away.

I only picked up cuz it was a No caller ID and I'm waiting on a call from my GP. The woman told me her name was Lisa about 3 times. Said she wanted to check if my life insurance was current. I told her I wasn’t interested but she just kept yabbering on, so I had to say I AM NOT INTERESTED, I’m tryin’ not to get stressed or I’ll end up in hospital. Still wouldn’t stop, so I hung up. Less than 2 minutes later, she called a Runcorn number I ignored it, but then called right back, so I had to block the number 🤬🤬

They ring up claiming they want to check if you're missing out on any life insurance benefits. They act like they're doing you a favour. Basically, they're after your life insurance info. I told them I’m not interested and just hung up! Then the bloke kept ringing back! I ended up calling my life insurance provider, and they confirmed it was nothing to do with them. Don’t give your details out! THEY ASK FOR YOUR LIFE INSURANCE INFO BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T GOT A CLUE! REALLY RISKY.

Got a call about life insurance, so I just ended the call straight away. Then they rang me back right away, all pushy asking why I’d dropped the call. She got proper hostile, calling me childish and daft! I just found it funny and laughed loads, which really annoyed her even more. She called me a silly woman and then just slammed the phone down. Bit of a laugh but clearly a scam on the other end!

This number rings me at least twice every day for the past few weeks, pushing me to check my life insurance policy. I got a call from someone claiming to be from an insurance switching firm. I told them I wasn't keen and ended the call. First, the number showed as Southport. Then not long after, the same number popped up but from Runcorn. This bloke said he was their team leader and started putting pressure on me, asking why I cut off his mate, saying I could claim on my accident insurance. Got a call claiming to be from my life insurance, but it was a total scam. It’s Saturday and my insurer doesn’t do weekends, so that was a big red flag. When I said I’d ring them back on the number I have, they tried to insist there was no need and that they were part of the company and just trying to help. I ended the call straight away. If it was legit, they’d understand why I wanted to double check. Definitely steer clear of these lot, it’s sickening how much they seem to know. Be very cautious with calls like this!

The lady who rang me was really moody right from the beginning, wouldn't tell me who she was and kept checking if I was the person she had on her list. I mentioned I'd had a similar call recently saying I'd requested a callback after a survey, but I couldn’t recall any such thing. She claimed she was from some insurance watchdog and assumed I had life insurance. I didn’t reply to that and asked which organisation she worked for. Got a call supposedly about life insurance, trying to check if I was up for a review to lower my premiums. I mentioned I had 12 kids and my job was basically launching me out of a cannon. Shockingly, they said I did qualify for a review to reduce my monthly payments. Got a call about an insurance quote, claiming they were working for companies I supposedly use, naming a few I’ve never heard of or dealt with. They insisted it wasn’t a scam but wouldn’t remove me from their call list unless I took part in their survey. Rang me every day, didn’t listen when I said I was happy with my current insurance and not interested, kept pushing to finish the survey. In the end, I just hung up. Honestly, the whole thing felt dodgy as anything.

I received a rather odd call from 01925 390519 earlier today. After sharing a wee bit about my life insurance-just my age, mind you-the caller abruptly ended the conversation. Got a call from a woman with a South African accent claiming to represent a bunch of insurance firms. She kept firing questions non-stop, trying to get me to respond. I humoured her for a bit after telling her twice to call back later since I was busy. Then I just told her flat out, “I’ve been giving you made-up info, I’m not interested, and I haven’t got time for this - please stop calling.” She obviously wasn’t happy, started shouting at me, and then hung up.

Honestly, these cold calls feel more like harassment.

Got a call from 01704 776883 about some life insurance offer, sounded like a scam. I pretended to be interested just to waste their time. When they tried to connect me to someone else, I just hung up and blocked the number. Then they rang back from a different number, saying they were trying to help me get a good deal. I told them I wasn’t interested and that’s why they were blocked. The woman even said the call was recorded and I’d be reported for hanging up and wasting their time - absolutely ridiculous. Blocked them again straight away.

When I asked one of the women to delete my info since she shouldn’t even have it, she started shouting at me and then had the nerve to say she wouldn’t want to be a woman like me.
