Totally with everyone else here. These are definitely scammers saying they’re selling 'life insurance,' but they’re really just trying to grab your card info or other personal stuff. Best thing is to just block and steer clear.

Some bloke rang and already knew my name. When I didn’t say if I was alright, he got a bit nasty. I asked him why he was ringing, but he just kept asking how I was! I hung up and still haven’t a clue what he was after!

Got a call about life insurance, but when I asked them to stop calling, they just wouldn’t remove my number. The person on the phone was pretty rude and kept interrupting me. I ended the call and blocked them straight away. Then, less than a minute later, another call came from a number looking almost the same, which I also blocked right away.

Got a call from some life insurance firm - they already had my name, no clue how they got it. I just blocked the number straight away.

Got a missed call from this number, so I called back and a woman with an Asian accent answered. She already knew my name and said she was doing a review of my life insurance. I asked which company she was representing and she said they dealt with all of them. I told her it sounded like a sales pitch and asked why they were calling me when I’m on the TPS list. She just kept going on about how she could lower my premiums and boost my benefits.

This call was a total insurance scam. A guy with a South African accent said he was from Clear Cover in London, but the number wasn’t even local. Like others have said, he offered to do my annual review and then asked when my last one was. If they actually handled my review, they’d already know that info. While chatting, I looked up Clear Cover on the FCA site and found no company by that name in London. I mentioned this to him, but he just ignored me and kept on talking. I ended the call and blocked him straight away.

Got a call about life insurance, seemed fishy so I just blocked the number.

Got a call from someone with a South African accent, said they were from Clear Compare call centre, claiming they’re doing a life insurance review for all the big insurers. They said they’d check my cover and find ways to cut premiums but insisted they weren’t trying to sell anything. They had my personal info from a company I’ve never dealt with, so I just ended the chat. They said they’d have my insurance company get in touch to confirm Clear Compare is legit and working for them, but I’m not holding my breath. Feels like a total scam to me.

They said their name was something like "Clear Compare." Asked me loads of personal info like my age, how many people I support, medical stuff and all that. When I said I had no clue who they were or why they were ringing, the bloke got all sarcastic, like I couldn't understand him. Then he just hung up. I rang back straight away and got through to someone called "Mason Smith" with a South African accent, who kept using just my last name, not even "Mr." Obviously telesales. Scammers, honestly. Best not to pick up if this number calls you.

Someone rang me saying they were from BT Openreach. I told them I was busy but they just carried on like I never said a word, going on about my internet being really slow. Definitely felt like a scam to me. Got called twice from almost the same number, only the last three digits were different, and both calls came just minutes apart.
