At about 11:20 this morning, a bloke called Connor called me, hurrying through some spiel about insurance or something. He said "Hello Andrew" - I'm a woman! I corrected him, but he kept going, asking if I was a Mrs. I didn't answer that. Then he rambled on about some insurance form I hadn’t apparently filled out - what form? I asked who he said I was insured with, and the names he mentioned don’t even live at my place. Connor even tried interrupting me mid-sentence, which was just rude. Needless to say, I told him exactly where to go.

I got a call from a lady wanting to speak to me by name. When I asked who she was, she claimed to be with a life insurance firm, but there was loads of noise in the background. I asked where they’d got my number from and then she just ended the call. I rang back and this time a bloke picked up and immediately asked if I was *** (my name). I asked who he was and why he wanted to know, but he dropped the call too. Made one more attempt and a woman called Janet answered, but when I asked a few questions, she told me I was being rude and cut me off. Definitely a scam.

Got a call claiming it was about reviewing my life insurance and the lady said something like "I think you have a policy with us." When I asked what company she was representing, she just rattled off loads of different firms they supposedly link with. Then she tried probing into my personal situation, but I told her I’d rather get details by email since chatting on the phone made me uneasy. Right after that, she just ended the call. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

I was a bit worried when they already knew my number and even my kid’s name. They wanted to talk to them. I wanted to know who they were, and they claimed it was regarding life insurance. Had a call from someone who was really impolite. I picked up and they asked for Victor. I told them they had the wrong number. Then they asked who I was, so I told them again it wasn’t Victor, and since they were probably not trying to talk to me, I didn’t feel like giving my name. They got quite nasty and just slammed the phone down. Definitely don’t bother picking up these sorts of scam calls.
