Had no clue who that was, and there wasn’t any details left behind. I searched the number on Google and most people said it’s some kind of scam. Honestly, didn’t shock me one bit.

I didn’t pick up this unfamiliar number and noticed there was no voicemail left. If it had been something important, they surely would’ve left a message asking me to call back. Feels like a bit of a scam to me.

I picked up the phone and right away there was a weird silence before the person spoke. They said they were calling from SunLife about a Life Insurance policy we supposedly had. I told them we’ve never had anything with Sun Life, and then they tried asking for info about any policies we DO have. I wasn’t about to give that out. We’re definitely signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, so whoever this was clearly isn’t bothering to check that.

Got a call from a woman with an African accent, talking about life insurance. She wanted to know if I had any benefits on my policy. I told her I was tied up and she said she'd ring me back later. Then she phoned my work landline, but there was loads of noise like a call centre in the background. When I asked which company she was from, she didn’t really give me a clear answer.

Got a call saying they were from Aviva about some life insurance I supposedly have with them. Thing is, I’ve never had any policy with Aviva. When I wouldn’t give any personal info, they started getting quite pushy and rude. What’s really unsettling is that they actually knew my real name.

Had a call from someone claiming to be about life insurance. It took a bit before they finally spoke and I could tell it was one of those cold call centres probably not even in the UK. Was really sketchy, and the lady on the line got quite short with me as soon as I said I wasn’t interested in buying any insurance. Would seriously advise not sharing any details or buying from them. Blocked the number after.

01928237155 called me earlier, and it was this woman speaking with an Australian accent asking if I was someone called [name]. I told her it’d depend on who was ringing first, and she just ended the call. Honestly, I don’t get why this number hasn’t been blocked yet. It’s clearly a scam. I’m on the TPS, but I just can’t be bothered with all the paperwork to report it properly.

Some guy rang up claiming it was about life insurance and wanted to go over my policy. I told him I wasn’t interested in chatting, but he just kept pushing to get info from me. How he knew my name is beyond me. Eventually, I just ended the call.

This was a proper scam. They called up and had my 5 year old’s first name along with our last name, assuming it was a woman, wanting to chat about his life insurance. The woman on the phone, "Emily", got completely confused when I told her the name was a kid’s and couldn’t answer any questions about which life insurance company we use. When I called her out on being a scammer, she quickly started saying sorry and pretending it wasn’t a con. Seriously, how daft do they think people are?

I got a call from a lady claiming she worked for some life insurance review place. When I asked her which company, she just kept saying the same thing, no clear answer. Then she started asking how long I'd had my insurance, saying my policy might be old and costing me too much. That’s when I clocked it was a scam. What really freaked me out though was how she knew my name in the first place.

So this bloke rings up sayin he’s checkin over my life insurance, then starts listing off loads of big insurance firms. I asked straight away, are you with Barclays life insurance? He said yes. I told him that’s odd coz I’ve never had anything with them. He suddenly got all narky and when I told him he sounded like a complete scammer, his tone turned proper aggressive. I just ended the call then and there.

Had a call about some life insurance review, and I asked the person on the line if they could tell me who the data controller was under UK data protection rules. They couldn’t give me a straight answer. Might’ve been just a badly trained operator here in the UK, but I wasn’t impressed and gave them a proper telling off.

This lady called about life insurance and seemed a bit dodgy. I honestly said no to all her tricky questions, but she didn’t like that one bit and kept trying to push me into getting it. When she got a bit annoyed, I just hung up. Then, weirdly enough, they kept calling me back straight away from different numbers. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Got a call from a woman claiming she worked for a company linked to all the mobile networks, saying it was about my life insurance. I knew it was dodgy straight away, especially as she couldn’t even say my name right. She kept going on about it not being a sales call, just checking I had the correct policy. When I asked which insurance company my life insurance was with, she got really flustered and snapped "your loss" before she started having a moan. I cut her off then and there and have blocked the number now. The call came from somewhere in Runcorn, I think.
