Terribly nasty and definitely a con.

Got a call at work from someone looking for information. I told them I’d put them on hold to transfer them to the correct department, but they just hung up instead. Then, weirdly enough, they rang us again straight away asking for some other company. Definitely sounded like a spam call to me.

Some bloke named James rang up saying he was from a Telecom Research group, asking about some study on the switch off thing. Couldn't give any details and didn't leave a number for reception to get back to him. Definitely sounded like spam to me.

This number just rang me up, asking if I was from the Environmental team. They threw out an address that didn’t make any sense, looked like it was totally made up.

Like a few others here, I got a call asking me to verify the business address “for the ISDN.” They also wanted to know how many phones we have on site. After I mentioned we have more than two, they made some suggestions, which I agreed to. Then they asked for the MD’s name, but I told them we’re on the corporate TPS list. They said that wasn’t an issue and claimed they could just find the info themselves. That was the end of it.

Got a call earlier but they just cut off without saying anything. I could make out some faint noise like a call centre in the background, but nothing clear.

Today I got a call about phone stuff but it just didn’t add up or make much sense.

They called asking us to verify our business info. When we said no and requested something in writing instead, they got pretty hostile and insisted on talking to the company director. We wouldn’t have any of it and ended the call. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

It was obvious it came from a call centre, they just cut the line as soon as I answered with a "Hello". And yes, we're signed up to the TPS.

Got a call from someone claiming there was a BT service issue and they needed my bank details and passwords so they could put £375 into my account. I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone saying they were from BT and that I should expect £375 because of some service problems. They then wanted my bank info and passwords which sounded really dodgy, so I just ended the call straight away.

Got a couple of calls at work today from someone saying they were BT, chatting about the digital line changeover.

Sounds like just another sales lot trying to get info on our phones so they can bombard us with sales calls down the line.

BRAD was honestly terrible! He came across as really pushy and quite disrespectful. He wanted to chat with our director and claimed he’d already had a word with him before. But when I tried to find out what it was about, he snapped at me. I wasn’t having any of it and ended the call right away!

Some bloke called saying he was Adam and wanted to speak to Neil. When I asked where he was ringing from and what it was about, he said he was called Adam Webb and had spoken to Neil before. I asked again what the call was for and he just kept insisting I put him through, claiming Neil would know. Turns out he was totally making it up!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT, they wanted to verify my info. I didn’t reveal a single thing and just listened while she recited what she already had on file. Seemed pointless really, probably just after info to send me adverts or something. Total timewaster!

Jemima gave me a call too, asking all sorts like how many handsets we had, where they were located, who the CEO is, and how frequently they're in the office. She wasn’t very good at accepting a refusal either.

Received a ring from Jamaila at TRO Company, number 01913 003773. She asked if I could verify our office address, which I did. Then she started questioning about how many phones we've got there. I told her that's not information she's entitled to and ended the call. I've blocked the number since.
