Got a call from someone saying they were from BT, asking loads of questions about our business. I rang the number back and it went to voicemail saying it was the 'Telecom Research Organisation'. Tried googling that name but nothing legit showed up. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

They kept ringing back twice more after I told them I wasn't interested. Seemed like they were just after some business details. Definitely ignored them.

They rang me once more today, same annoying stuff. Totally not worth it.

They claimed to be BT but had nothing to do with the real company. Stay clear of them!

Someone rang me saying they were from BT. I just said I wasn't interested and put the phone down. But then they rang straight back, and not long after, they tried again from another number. Really persistent!

Got the usual line again, bloke said he was from BT, claiming they control all the ISDN lines nationwide. Started off by wanting to verify my business info. Bit of a letdown he chose BT as his cover story, I’m not exactly fond of them, so I politely told him cheers and ended the call before he went on.

Got a ring from this number, they said they were from BT but started asking odd stuff like how many phones we use at work and if the boss is there daily. Thought it was a bit dodgy, told them it was weird and then ended the call.

Some bloke rang saying his name was Rhys and said he was from BT. He asked the receptionist how many phone handsets we had here, something he apparently asked about the day before. When we didn’t want to share that info - we don’t give out stuff like that to cold callers - he suddenly admitted he wasn’t actually with any telecom company. Bet BT’s not too chuffed to hear about that!

Got three calls in just two days from someone claiming to be checking company info for the ISDN shutdown. I told them our number’s actually on the TPS register and warned that they might be breaking the rules by calling. After that, they just ended the call.

Sounds like it’s some kind of telecom research firm. I reckon I’ve ended up blocking at least ten different numbers from them already!
