The odd part is that BT would already have this information on file, so it seems rather pointless for someone to call us out of the blue. I lingered on the line for a while, asking them for their website details, which they couldn't provide. They kept referring to themselves as the TRA - Telecomms Research Agency - but I’m rather suspicious as there’s no official record of such a company at Companies House, for instance. I really don’t know who I spoke to, but my gut feeling tells me they’re just trying to peddle phones or something similar. I’ve instructed them to remove my number from their records and I’ve gone ahead and blocked them. Oddly enough, after blocking them, I’ve started receiving calls marked as 'unknown' and 'No Caller ID'.
