Got a call from a guy who wouldn’t say why he was ringing. All he kept saying was he needed to talk to a Director. When I asked what the call was about, he just asked if I was one of the Directors. He wouldn’t share any more details. Pretty sure it was some sort of sales call.

This bloke said his name was Ronan now, and asked for the director like they were close pals. Naturally, he hung up on me the moment he realised he wasn’t making any progress. I tried ringing back but it’s clearly a call centre - all the lines were busy, then it just cut off on me.

Got a call from someone named Francesca who was really insistent on talking to our CEO. She refused to say where she was ringing from. After I explained the CEO wasn’t around, she pushed to speak with a different director instead. Seems like she’d looked up the directors on Companies House. Honestly, she was pretty pushy and quite rude throughout.

Someone rang asking for a person at the company, but I said they weren't in and offered to take a message. They gave some random names, said it was Joe Davis. I’m guessing Sid Smith might be the next one to call.

Got a call from someone named Abbey King, asking straight away for the director by name. The guy on the line didn’t recognise the name at all and asked for more info before continuing. She sounded really sure of herself though and said she was with a company called Rubix when he pressed her for details. When I tried ringing the number back, it just said all operators were busy every time I tried, no matter how many times I called.

I got a call asking for the director, but when I asked what it was about, the person just hung up on me. Bit rough, considering I’m the business partner.

On Thursday 14th June 2023, around 11:02am, I got a call from someone named "Abi King" - sounded like they were calling from a call centre because there was a lot of background noise. They asked straight away for our company’s managing director by name but wouldn’t actually say why. When I pushed a bit, all they would say was “he’ll know what it’s about” and then mentioned something about "Rubix". Once they realised the MD wasn’t available, they tried asking for another shareholder, who’s more of a silent partner. I reckon they’d got all the shareholder names from Companies House or something. Still, no one in our company has any idea who Rubix is or has ever spoken to them. The caller was polite, but since we’re in an office environment we’re always on our guard if someone won’t explain the reason for their call. A quick Google search showed Rubix is known for telemarketing and spam calls of that telecom sort. So, blocked the number.

Someone rang asking for a company director called Max, but wouldn’t say anything else. When I asked for a number to get back to him, he just wouldn’t give it. Feels a bit dodgy. After reading the other comments, it looks like they just dig up names of directors and ring them randomly. I’d avoid picking up, it’s likely just a waste of time.

Got a call from someone called 'Sam Rogers' asking to speak to our managing director, claimed he’d just been chatting with him and wanted to be put through. Luckily, our MD was sitting right beside me when this happened. I asked the bloke what company he was ringing from, but he just kept saying ‘It’s Sam Rogers, put me through’. I repeated my question about three times, then suddenly he just dropped the call. Could definitely hear a bunch of noise in the background like a call centre. Honestly, these lot act like you’re daft, trying to sound all chummy so you let your guard down. The so-called Sam Rogers just cut off in the end!

I got a call from Rubix, they offer phone system support but when I tried to find out more to direct it to the right colleague, they were pretty unclear. When I asked about their services, the guy just said "the director will explain it". So, I ended up blocking the number.

This bloke said his name was Oliver and wanted to speak to our manager by his first name. When I asked what company he was with, he suddenly got all tetchy and wasn't polite at all. He never said who he really was and just went off saying he’d email instead. Straight on the block list from me!

So this Evie person (though I'm not convinced that's her real name) has rung our director four times now, claiming they've chatted before and that he'd recognise her. Well, as the office manager, I answer all calls, and if she'd actually spoke to him, she'd surely have his direct mobile. She was dodgy when I asked for her name, and kept avoiding the question about which firm she was representing. After me pressing a few times, she finally muttered "Rubix" and said she'd try again later. Not likely - I've blocked the number already!

Somebody rang up looking for our director, claiming she was due a call. They said they were Abi from some place called 'Rubix' - which is totally unfamiliar to us. Our director definitely wasn't waiting on any calls though.

Someone phoning up saying they’re from ‘Rubix’ has kept ringing our office, always wanting to speak to a senior colleague. They keep babbling about some “earlier chat” that apparently happened, but no one here has ever talked to them or dealt with that company before. Looks pretty dodgy to me.

Got a call from Tom pushing a phone system on us. I told him we’d just signed a new deal with another firm that also looks after our computers and licences, but he kept going on anyway. When I pointed out he wasn’t really hearing what I was saying, he just slammed the phone down. Really, Tom? Some basic manners wouldn’t go amiss...

Had a call from Rubix Group about phone systems, and when I said I wasn’t interested, they got really rude. Definitely just sales calls.

I kept hearing my own voice echoing back at me during the call, and when I asked, Francesca Jones said she wasn’t on loudspeaker. She kept trying to speak with the director, X, but didn’t even seem to know who he was herself. She claimed he’d definitely know her by name, but honestly, if I haven’t got a clue who she is, there’s no chance he does either! Usually, personal calls go straight to his mobile, and it’s my responsibility to know everyone around here. I’ve got a feeling she’s called before because she always mentions she’ll send an email afterwards - but it never shows up. Such a total waste of time. We’re not fans of sales calls here, but being polite pros, we don’t just hang up on folks. It’s really annoying.

This number has called me a few times previously. They seem to be coming from places like Newcastle and Durham. Some muppet just wanted a chat. Honestly, the best move is to block them and report it. Definitely a scam, no doubt about it.

Been getting calls from this number for days now, always asking to speak to the company director. When I ask who's calling, the person says "Tom Green," but as soon as I try to find out which company he's from, they just hang up. Really annoying and pretty rude behaviour. Feels like some sales pitch - I'd say best just to block them.

Every single day I get calls from this number asking for a director from Companies House. The guy just said his name was Tom Green, but when I asked what it was about, he just cut the call off. Proper dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call asking for the director listed at Companies House, but they refused to explain the reason, just kept saying it was about some 'earlier chat' which never happened. Feels like a sales pitch to me. They didn’t leave any voicemail and kept ringing again and again.

Some vague bloke said "Sam Brown here" but when I asked which company he's from, he just hung up. Then he said they’d ring me back, but I doubt it.
