Got a call supposedly from O2, number said Inverness, saying I could get 45% off my airtime bill. I got tricked and shared way too much info, then they somehow managed to change my password. Once I figured out it was a scam, I hung up and rang O2’s fraud team straight away. They helped me sort everything out, reset my details and made sure no dodgy orders were placed. Those scammers were really pushy and convincing!

It rings out to an answerphone, the message starts talking about Royal Mail but then switches over to a bunch of Chinese. Ever since I changed my number after renewing with Plusnet, I keep getting this weird message from loads of different numbers.

Totally a con. They said they were from O2 phone network, but I aint with O2 at all. I decided to mess about with them instead, pretending to be interested in the rubbish they wanted to sell. Lauren from Adept called me saying she’d been told I’d had a car crash that wasn’t my fault, which confused me as I hadn’t been in any accident. I asked her how she got my number and she said it came from some sort of RTA database. When I said I hadn’t been in any accident, she just ended the call right away, didn’t even say goodbye. Natalie’s description kind of lines up with this, so I’m guessing they are connected.

Got a call claiming to be from the Virgin Media sales team. It's the fourth time this week they've rung me, using all sorts of numbers even mobiles. Had a quick word with Virgin Media and they told me their calls always show up from an 0345 number.

Said they were calling from o2 but I’m not with them anymore, actually haven’t been for ages. Sounded like they’ve got an outdated list or something. They tried to tempt me with half price off, but I told them straight I’m no longer an o2 customer. They didn’t like that and got a bit pushy. Definitely wouldn’t trust them.
