I got a call from someone pretending to be O2, telling me I owed them £3,000 for an unpaid phone bill and that if I didn’t pay that day, they’d take me to court. Then, a while later, the same number rang me again, this time saying sorry and that it was about a debt with EE for £3,000 owed by a Mr Jones. I just ended the call straight away.

Dialled in with a caller ID indicating Inverness, Scotland. The individual on the other end, who didn't sound local, asserted that he was representing Carphone Warehouse. When I inquired about how he obtained my number, his response was muddled and difficult to follow, ultimately leading him to disconnect the call abruptly.

Got a call from a woman who sounded Asian, claiming to be calling on behalf of Virgin Media. She spoke so quickly it was hard to catch what she was saying. She kept trying to push me into signing up for some “amazing” mobile plan that was supposedly very cheap. Definitely wasn’t Virgin though - feels like a trick to get your personal details and maybe even your bank info. Best thing to do is ignore them and treat them like any other scammer trying to rip you off.
