Yet another call from some inexperienced chap claiming there's a problem with my router. I've had this nonsense happen multiple times now. Seriously, go and find something better to do!

I had a weird call with no sound on the line. I am using TalkTalk, and luckily they provide a way to block numbers, but you have to get them to activate it first. After it’s all set up, I just dial 14258, and then a recorded voice tells me something like "To block the last caller 01768774413, press the star key twice." I hit the star key twice, and it says "caller barred." It really works, but honestly, I get so many calls, it feels like I’m always blocking someone!

After looking into it a bit more since I first mentioned the silent call I got from this number, I've found that it seems linked to the Cumberland Building Society in Keswick. That said, unsure if it's still an active line or one that's been dropped. Heard that some fraudsters overseas can mask their real number to make it seem like a UK line, which is probably what's going on here. Checked out the Ofcom site too, but couldn't find any way to flag a number being misused if it’s owned by a regular customer.

Had the same problem with my router, they kept ringing me about it loads, like two or three calls each day. Got kinda annoyed with me when I didn’t follow their instructions. Honestly, don’t bother talking to them at all! And funny enough, I’m not even a TalkTalk customer!

Got loads of calls today from someone claiming to be TalkTalk about issues with my router. They don’t even get a chance to explain before I shut it down and tell them to buzz off. I made sure TalkTalk knows not to ring me, so as soon as the phone lights up with their number I’m onto it - straight scam. If by some chance it really is TalkTalk, oh well, tough luck.

Got a call from someone pretending to be TalkTalk, they even knew my name and my account number. When is TalkTalk actually going to sort out this mess of scammers ringing us up? It’s getting ridiculous!

So annoyed, got two calls within just two hours. First, some Indian woman claiming there was an issue with my TalkTalk router. I told her, "I don’t even have it connected, I unplugged it ages ago, like six months back." And then, just now, I got another call from somewhere else.

They say they’re here to help with our Talk Talk router. But if you start asking questions, they just end the call straight away. Bit suspicious if you ask me!

Got a ring from this number earlier, the classic "TALKTALK" con about some new router and needing to log into my computer. I decided to question "Alex" from India a bit more this time. He got really agitated and even threw some swear words at me, can you believe it?

Looks like I’m getting the same calls as everyone else, claiming to be from TalkTalk. I always tell them I'm not with that provider anymore, and they try anyway. Since yesterday, I've had about five calls from them, which is super irritating. Plus, my number is registered with the TPS, so I have no idea why they keep bothering me.

I’m really tired of getting calls from this number. The woman claimed she was from TalkTalk and said there was some issue with my router. When I asked her more questions, she just told me to shut up. These calls have been coming for nearly a year now and even after switching my internet provider, they haven’t stopped. I reported it to TalkTalk but they haven’t done anything about it. Got a completely silent call, pretty sure it's one of those Talk Talk scams. I don't even use their services anymore. Honestly, these folks are just crooks. The number showed as from Penrith, so I’m thinking of reporting it to the local police there. Maybe others should do the same so they can catch these scammers.

Been seeing loads of posts about the numbers 017684411/13 lately. I’m with Talk Talk on my home phone and if they’ve supposedly blocked those numbers, why do they keep ringing me? Talk Talk honestly are pretty useless on this front. They won’t take any blame for nuisance calls and just point fingers at BT instead. Sure, you can report every dodgy call to OFCOM, but that hasn’t stopped them from coming through. I had a chat with OFCOM myself and was told it’s actually the provider’s legal duty to handle these pest calls. So, for anyone on Talk Talk, it’s their job to sort it out.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent saying she was from TalkTalk. She told me my computer had loads of viruses and that she’d help me fix it by logging in remotely. Definitely didn’t fall for it. I reported the number to TalkTalk and turns out it’s just another scam doing the round. TalkTalk’s fraud department have now blacklisted the number to protect customers.
