The individual on the line asserted they were from TalkTalk, mentioning that my router had been breached in some way. Honestly, these fraudsters really have a flair for creativity!

This number keeps ringing me up, saying my router is infected with a virus, just like what others have said. If you’re bored and want to waste some time, you can have a long chat with them. One bloke actually asked why I was even speaking to him. When I told him he was the one who called me, he told me to go screw myself and then cut me off.

Got a few calls today on my home phone from someone saying they were with Talk Talk, telling me there was an issue with my router. Don’t think so at all. They used the number 01768774413 as well. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

It really feels like another TalkTalk scam call, a total pain. But I found a quick fix: the BT8500 phone. It blocks these annoying calls and all the rubbish ones too, so you won't have to deal with those pesty folks again.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Talk Talk at 9.51 in the morning. I just hung up immediately. Total scam, avoid it!

Got a call from a lady claiming she was calling on behalf of TalkTalk about an issue with my "t outer." She told me to switch on me computer, but I said I don’t have one. After that, she just told me to get lost and hung up. Proper rude!

This number has called me twice in less than an hour claiming to be from Talk Talk. I told them I was busy and asked them to leave their number so I could call later. I wasn’t planning to ring back though, and they ended the call pretty quickly. I got a call from them yesterday too, and it feels like they keep ringing every single day.

Got a call that said it was from TalkTalk, said there was an issue with my router or something. I kept her chatting for ages trying to find out how much they pay people to keep bothering folk like me. Then the line just cut off. :)

Got a call around 4:06 this afternoon from someone saying they were with Talk Talk. Told them I’m definitely not a customer, same as I’ve said loads of times before. Then they hit me with the line that Talk Talk’s gone under and they supposedly owe me £250! Seriously, how can the UK and Indian authorities not get a grip on these calls? This is the 21st time I’ve been rung in just two weeks, all pretending to be from Talk Talk. I’m keeping track!

Got a call from some guy called Asian Thomas, said he was from TalkTalk. I’ve been a customer for over 10 years and they’ve never once rung me before this. This has been happening on and off for a few months now. When I told him I work in IT maintenance, he just slammed the phone down! Proper scammer idiots, honestly, get a proper job!

I got a call from someone asking about my router and if it was working properly. Then they told me to go online and enter some random strings of letters. It was obvious to me that they weren't from TalkTalk, so I just ended the call.

I rang my aunt’s place earlier and when she answered, she asked what the call was regarding, then the person just dropped the call. There’s so many of these scammers going around pretending to be from TalkTalk, they really ought to say something about it.

there was a long pause before i heard a sort of unclear hello, so i just hung up there. but trust me, they havent seen the last of me - some playful chatting is definitely coming their way ;)

So I got this call from a lady with a strong Indian accent saying she was from TalkTalk and there was something wrong with my router. I told her everything was working fine, but she kept insisting it might crash. I said I’d ring back if any issues came up. Then, not long after, an Indian bloke called claiming to be from TalkTalk too. When I told him I wasn’t convinced he was legit, he just hung up. Since then, I’ve had a few more calls where I picked up but didn’t say anything, and they hang up after a few seconds. Bit strange if you ask me.

Got a call with no one speaking on the other end. When I tried ringing back, it turned out to be Theatre by the Lakes in Keswick. They left a notice saying their number's been stolen by scammers pretending to be from TalkTalk. Honestly, what kind of miserable existence do you have to lead to keep ripping people off like this day after day?

They keep ringing me up like 7 or 8 times each day, claimin they’re from TalkTalk’s tech team. As soon as I say they’re not with my provider, they just hang the phone straight away. But they don’t stop, keep callin over and over again.

I’ve had a few calls from 01768774412 just yesterday, about four times actually. Today, it’s 01768774411 that’s been ringing me, three times already. Every single caller says they’re from TalkTalk and there’s an issue with my router. Thing is, everything’s fine with my internet and my device has no viruses at all. TalkTalk’s own advice for people with ‘caller display’ is basically: if you don’t know the number, just don’t pick up. Wise words, I say.

been getting calls nonstop from talktalk technical support for ages now, always saying there’s some problem with my line. i used to be polite but now i just snap at them every time, yet they don’t give up and keep ringin me. the annoying thing is they use slightly different numbers each time, so blocking one doesn’t help coz another one turns up. it’s driving me mad, honestly. might end up having to switch my number just to get some peace.

I can confirm that this number belongs to the Theatre by the Lake in Keswick; however, it appears to have been taken over by some con artists. I advise against responding unless you’ve directly contacted the theatre.
