Got a missed call from this number earlier. Normally I ignore calls from unknown numbers, but every now and then I pick up just in case it’s something urgent. Loads of folks still don’t have caller ID or feel like they have to answer every call, just worried they might be missing something important. It’s really sad that people stoop so low, trying to scam others and nick their personal details or even cash. Don’t know how they sleep at night doing stuff like that.

This caller caused quite a commotion for a frail pensioner who is already under the weather on her personal phone. After a bit of mumbling about life insurance, I made it clear that these annoying calls to her private line needed to cease immediately, and I threatened to report him. It's utterly unacceptable!

Got a call from a woman trying to sell life insurance. She kept asking how I was doing. When I asked what the call was about and said I didn’t know her, she told me I was really rude. "You’re a very rude man," she said. Pretty clear she was calling from some call centre. These kind of calls should be stopped altogether.

She wouldn’t say which company she was from, just listed loads of different life insurance firms, probably hoping I’d recognise one. It really seemed like a scam, so I told her I don't entertain calls like that out of the blue.
