Same as a few others here, this bloke said he wanted to chat about my life insurance, which I actually do have. Thing is, he mentioned my wife’s name as the person he was after. He reckoned if I divided the policy, I'd only pay half, but then he had no clue what my actual premium was. I told him straight up I’m not gonna talk about this with some random caller, and the way he kept calling me “mate” just felt off, like he was trying too hard or sumthin.

Totally sounds like one of those auto-dial scammers at first, given the weird pause before someone actually spoke (if you can even call it a proper person). They were going on about life insurance - sounded way too polished for scammers just off the street, like they really knew their English. No way it’s actually from St Helen, especially with that +44 code showing it’s somewhere else. Proper annoying people.

Got a call from something called the Life Review and Validation Centre - total scam, I reckon. Just dodgy people trying to con you. I've blocked them now. Honestly, they should find real work instead of pestering folks with rubbish like this.

For the last month, I've been getting about three calls a week on my mobile from these people, trying to sell me life insurance reviews. I've told them over and over that I haven't had life insurance in over 20 years and I don't want any, yet they just don’t quit. Even with my call blocker, they somehow manage to get through. If anyone knows a proper way to make them stop for good, please share it with me!

This company’s located in South Africa, but when I asked, everyone used different business names like The Life Protector or Consumer Connect. They gave me bogus emails, lied about their contact numbers, and kept saying they partner with Aviva and share data with them. Honestly, steer clear of these lot!

Got a call claiming to be from Aviva about a missed life insurance review. Since I don’t have any life insurance, I immediately thought it was dodgy and probably a scam to get my info. I told them I wasn’t interested, but they then asked how much I’d be willing to pay each month. I said I don’t have spare cash for insurance, so zero, and I wouldn’t want to waste their time. After that, I just said goodbye and ended the call.

On the first call, they promptly ended the call as soon as I greeted them. The second time they rang, there was no ringing tone whatsoever, just a sudden voice at the other end. After about five minutes, they somehow knew my name and were keen to chat about my life insurance. They even dropped names like Royal London and Legal & General. Honestly, I have serious reservations about these sorts of callers.
