Got a call from a guy called Michael, said he was from some life insurance firm. Wouldn’t say much due to data protection, but kept trying to get my details. I didn’t give anything away. Asked him how he even got my number since it’s not one I use personally, it’s strictly for work!

So this bloke called David rang me up saying he was getting in touch about my Aviva life insurance. When I asked where he’d got my details, he just snapped, “I’m the one asking the questions here, mate,” and kept going. I told him with that cheek he could jog on and never phone me again. Then he goes on about how I shouldn’t talk to him like that and threatens to smash my head in. He even rang back from another number, 01928 639334, just to say again he’d break my head for talking to him like that. Funny how a supposed scammer is so touchy!

Got a call while I was driving, so didn’t pick up. Showed up as possible scam. Decided to block it.

Got a call on my mobile from a number I didn't recognise so I didn’t pick up. In my recent calls, it showed up with a huge red warning sign and some weird text like ~rDisp3. It also said something like "view on ####". Strange!

Got a call from a lady in St Helens about my life insurance. When I asked which company she was from, she said she didn’t know. I said I don’t even have life insurance and she just said goodbye and ended the call.

When I picked up, they just dropped the call. Then about an hour later I phoned back and the person on the other end asked for me without me even saying who I was. Sounds suspicious to me, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

I was in a minor car accident that wasn’t my fault. I just wanted to fix my car, and the other person’s insurance gave me some money, saying it wasn’t worth repairing. I decided to sort it out myself and now the car's fine. Suddenly, I started getting calls from lawyers telling me I could make a claim because apparently, if the crash involved speeds over 5 mph and repairs cost more than £500, the law says you might be entitled to compensation for things like discomfort or minor injuries.

So, this woman rang up askin' for a Mrs (couldn’t catch the name properly). I asked her to say it again but still couldn’t make it out, and definitely wasn’t me. Told her she’d got the wrong number and then she just hung up.

Got a call this evening like the others saying they were from Royal London or Aviva. The bloke said his name was Adam and there was loads of noise in the background. When I said it was just a cold call, he started going on about how it wasn't ‘cos I’d supposedly ticked a box in a survey, but he wouldn’t say when or where I did that. Told him I was hanging up 😂

Got a call claiming to be from “the review team”. Told them I already asked to be taken off their list a couple times. Asked for the company name and they said “the insurance review centre itd” - I told them that company doesn't exist. They just hung up real quick. Definitely a dodgy scam from some call centre.

Some guy (I caught his first name but can't remember it now) said he was ringing from the ‘insurance review centre’. He told me his company worked with big names like royal london, aviva, and stuff. It was a cold call, so I reckon it was either: 1/ a scam; or 2/ some shady firm just pushing people to change insurance so they can earn commissions.
