I didn't pick up and there was no voicemail left. I've never heard of anyone from Southport SA, so I'm guessing it's just a scam.

I got a call from this number around half nine this morning. The person on the line spoke English quite well and seemed to know my name and other personal details. When I probed about the purpose of their call, they mentioned it was a “security check”. Curious about how they obtained my number, I inquired further, and they claimed it was sourced from a local database. When I pressed them about which database they meant and who authorized them to access my information, I suddenly heard a voice in the background instructing them to “just hang up.” Definitely felt like a dodgy scam call.
