Someone rang me saying I’d been in a car crash and insisted it wasn’t my fault. They told me I was a victim and could help me get insurance money back. They said all they needed was my bank info and that the money would be in my account within 4 hours. I didn’t fall for it and blocked the number straight away!

Got a call from someone who gave his name as Terry Hughes and called me by my own name. There was a lot of noise going on in the background and the moment I said who I was, he just hung up.

Got a call from someone with an English accent asking if I was (my name). There was quite a bit of background noise, then they just dropped the call.

Someone rang me saying they worked for a charity doing a survey about alarms and medical alerts. Before going any further, I looked up the number here just to be safe. Later, a person called Charlie Bailey from 07746194702 phoned to set up a visit, but I said no thanks and didn’t go ahead.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from ‘Direct Response’ about some kind of emergency service connection. She started asking me stuff, including if I had a house alarm, which made me a bit uneasy. I handed the phone to my hubby, who told her we didn’t want anything. She then tried to say she’d send someone over tonight to talk about it, but my husband just ended the call.
