I got a call from 01676 333005 and some woman with an Indian accent said she was ringing from Virgin Media. The moment I said I’m with trading standards and don’t use Virgin Media, and asked where she got my number, she just cut me off. Absolutely avoid sharing any info if this number calls you. Definitely a scam!

Someone rang up saying they were from Sky and told me my broadband was at risk because it’d been hacked. They said they needed to put a firewall on it straight away. I asked them to prove they were really from Sky by giving me my Sky account number, but they couldn’t. I told them I’d ring Sky myself to check, and as expected, Sky had no idea about any of it.

I've received a barrage of calls from this number all in a single day, and whenever I inquire about who's on the line, they just hang up. Quite bizarre and frustrating!

I just ended the call right away when I picked up.

What an absolute bother! This caller kicked things off by blabbering on about a £25 monthly fee, yet she didn't bother to clarify what it was for. When I pressed for details, she just hung up on me. Shocking!

Lucky we didn’t pick up, seems like it was some dodgy spam scam. No message was left anyway. I usually avoid answering calls from numbers I don’t recognise, this one was 01676 333005.

For sure some dodgy folks, probs debt collectors or one of those scammy telemarketin calls.

I never picked up, but reading other people's experiences it’s clear this is just another scam pretending to be something legit. I’ve already blocked the number, but it annoys me how the phone companies haven’t managed to stop these dodgy calls or get the scammers into trouble. My mum nearly got tricked by some crook acting like they were from her bank! Luckily she caught on just in time after my dad had shared nearly all his details! I’ve set up some call protection on my phone now so it warns me if a call might be fraudulent. These days I don’t bother answering - if it’s really important, they can always leave a message.

Basically, these calls are just trying to get your O2 account info and other stuff. It’s a scam, same as all those dodgy numbers you don’t recognise.

This morning, I noticed a missed call from 01676333005. I gave it a ring back, trying to be polite, but it just cut out after one ring. Bit odd, isn't it?

They called saying I’m an o2 customer and mentioned a 30% discount, but I told them I’m actually with Virgin. The guy insisted it was the same company. While that’s sort of true, if they were legit they’d know I’m with Virgin straight away. I asked what the deal was exactly, but then he just cut off. The number showed as Coventry but it was definitely a call centre abroad. No way was I giving out any details even if they’d kept me on the line!

I got a call from this number and an automated message picked up straight away saying it was a marketing firm. The message went by so quick I couldn’t really make a complaint properly. It said if I wanted to stop getting these calls, I needed to send an email - but the email was for some marketing address again, so no help there. After that, it told me to hang on for an advisor. Music played for about a minute before it suddenly said no one was available to take my call and then ended the call. I had a look online and stumbled across this website afterwards.

I received incessant calls from this number, which piqued my curiosity to ring them back. To my astonishment, rather than a proper response, I was met with a recorded message from my provider. It informed me that the number I attempted to dial was non-existent. It raises quite a few red flags, doesn't it? There's definitely something dodgy about this situation!

So this lady called saying she was from O2. She started by asking how I was, and I told her I’m not with O2. Weirdly, she said she already knew that without even asking for my name. Then she went on about offering me a contract for an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I just ended the call there.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Curry's about a phone deal. If I wanted one I’d ring them myself, no need for a random cold call. The bloke on the line sounded Indian (had a job in India once so I can tell) and said his name was Terry. Told “Terry” to shove his offer somewhere the sun don’t shine, and he just hung up on me. Typical.

Someone called saying they were from O2, which is my network, and told me I could get 45% off my bill for half a year by using a code they’d send. Shortly after, I received a text from O2’s genuine UK number with a six-digit code, but it wasn’t any kind of discount - it was actually for resetting a password. Turns out they were trying to hack into my O2 online account. Never ever share that code with anyone!
