The moment I said I’m with trading standards and don’t use Virgin Media, and asked where she got my number, she just cut me off. Absolutely avoid sharing any info if this number calls you. Someone rang up saying they were from Sky and told me my broadband was at risk because it’d been hacked. They said they needed to put a firewall on it straight away. I asked them to prove they were really from Sky by giving me my Sky account number, but they couldn’t. I told them I’d ring Sky myself to check, and as expected, Sky had no idea about any of it.
